The new team, FSSwingers, was under the impression Opening Day for the Friday Coed league was next Friday, August 17th. They are ill prepared to field a team for this coming Friday. Be that as it may, I’ve taken the liberty of issuing them a bye in Week 1 so as not to start the season off on the wrong foot. The 5 vs. 6 game has been moved from August 10th to August 24th. There are only 2 games slated for this coming Friday – 4 vs. 7 and 4 vs. 6. My apology for any inconvenience. A revised schedule is now posted online.

In accordance with league scheduling guidelines, the postponed games from September 7th have been rescheduled for Saturday morning, September 22nd. So a team would not have to play a Saturday double header, the 5 vs. 6 game was moved to Friday September 28th. A couple of games were moved around on the 28th to accommodate resultant double headers.

A formal protest has been lodged this week against Hagan's Heroes (Friday Coed) for failure to abide by the all-star/eddie rule.

All-Star/Eddie Rule, All-Star Cap
Not more than 5 all-stars are permitted in a coed batting line-up at any given time. A coed team batting line-up containing 5 all-stars shall abide by the all-star/eddie rule and must at all times maintain a batting line-up that contains at least 5 eddies. A team with a batting line-up containing 4 or less all-stars will abide by regular coed rules. If at any point during the regular season, by any member of SBA, a team using 5 all-stars is found to be in default of the all-star/eddie rule, that team will forfeit all games in which the infraction occurred. The same punishment will hold true for a team using more than 5 all-stars at any given time. All-stars are determined by the league and shall be adjusted yearly. A coed team cannot use a non-roster eddie sub to satisfy all-star/eddie requirements.

On September 22, 2018 in a game vs. GoRoostr, Hagan's Heroes used 6 all-stars in their line-up - placing the team in direct violation of the all-star/eddie rule. League rules clearly state a coed team cannot use more than 5 all-stars.

As a result, the Hagan's Heroes' win will turn into a loss. The GoRoostr's loss will turn into a win by default. Individual statistics will remain as is. League standings will be adjusted accordingly.
