As you will see, Hatfield Township will not permit us to start until April 15th. For opening Day on April 1st, the Quarry games will get played as scheduled. The games lost at Hatfield for Week 1 will be played at the Quarry in Week 2 (April 8th). In Week 3 (April 15th) we will play at both fields.
We will be using the same scheduling format as was used last fall season. Teams are divided into 2 equally competitive leagues of 6 teams each – American League and National League. The leagues will be formed off of prior season standings. In other words, the 2 finalists in the prior season A Division championship will become the top teams in the American and National leagues.
Scheduling will consist of each team playing every team in their league (5 games) plus 3 games vs. the other league. At the end of the regular season, the 1st place teams in each league will move directly to the finals and play one another in the 2/3 A league championship. The remaining playoff contenders (seeds 2 thru 5 in each league) will enter a playoff tournament. The 2 remaining teams (1 from the American League and 1 from the National League) will move to the finals and play the 2/3 B league championship.
