State of the League - 02/26/2018

As we move closer to Opening Day, some leagues are undergoing significant changes.
Jamison Pour House will not be returning to the Sunday Men's league. We will go with 7 teams in the American Conference unless a National Conference team wants to step up to the American Conference plate.
At this point the Sunday Coed league will have American and National Conference inter-conference play along with a B East Division.
The Monday Coed league has no changes although the Irish Car Bombs have yet to offer a solid commitment to return. Update - The Doom Cats team will not be returning to Monday Coed.
John Pileggi, III is entering Cale's Pale Ales into the Tuesday Men's league. As of this writing there are 7 teams with another new team close to pulling the trigger. Update - Richard Schmidt has entered Just Food into the Tuesday Men's league.
The Wednesday Coed American and National Conferences will remain intact. The Patriot Conference could see 3 new teams. The A Team is out and Kekambas is having trouble fielding enough girls. Gym Class Heroes will move from Friday to Wednesday Coed. The same might hold true for Chapman Ford. Katie Hackman (formerly Wilkinson) will be entering a team. Update - Gym Class Heroes has just made the move to Wednesday Coed. Update - Sticky Bandits will not be returning to the Wednesday Coed league. Update: Gym Class Heroes will not have a team in either Wednesday Or Friday Coed.
The Thursday Men's league has no changes.
If Gym Class Heroes and Chapman Ford shift over to Wednesday Coed, the Friday Coed league will have 5 or 6 teams if we get no new teams from now to Opening Day. Irish Car Bombs have yet to offer a solid commitment to return. Update - Gym Class Heroes has just made the move to Wednesday Coed.
I'm still waiting to hear back from Ben Soler on whether the Long Shots will be returning to Friday Men's. Either way, the Friday Men's will have a full field. Steve Dariano and Dan Curran are waiting in the wings if a spot opens. Update - The Long Shots will not be returning this year. Steve Dariano will enter a team to complete the field.
With Easter Sunday falling on the 1st of April, Opening Day for both Sunday leagues is April 8th. Monday Coed kicks off the softball year on March 26th, but my guess is Hatfield won't be ready by then. If that should occur in any of the weeknight leagues, we will play Opening Day Quarry games at the Quarry in Week 1 and Opening Day Hatfield games at the Quarry in Week 2. Hopefully by Week 3 Hatfield will be good to go.
1 or maybe 2 team openings are available in the Sunday Men's league. Sunday Coed has team spots available. Monday Coed is full. Tuesday Men's has a team spot tentatively available. Wednesday Coed might have 1 opening. Thursday Men's is full. Friday Coed might have 1 or 2 team spots available. Friday Coed is full.
