Game #1 – New Age vs. Carroll’s

Bill Hood starts the scoring on the night with an RBI double to give New Age a one run lead after the first inning. Carroll’s get going in the second inning pushing five runs across. Steve DiGiovanni started it with an RBI double followed by a RBI single from Amy Walker, RBI double from Ray Patano and a big two run single from John Zeits. More of the same came in the third as Carroll’s erupt for 14 runs. Mike Stacey had a massive inning as he crushed two Grand Slams and accounted for eight of their 14 runs. Zeits, Shinkunas, and Krysten Marinelli also had RBI’s in the inning. Carroll’s continue to rake at the plate adding another two runs in the fourth and putting this one out of reach early due to Mercy rule. Carroll’s win 21-3.

Player of the Game:
Mike Stacey (Carroll’s) – 3/3, 2B, 2 HR’s, 8 RBI’s

Game #2 – Bry Lex vs. Wackers

Wackers start up quickly in this one getting a run off a Gene Walczak hit and then followed up by a two run bomb by Bill Brancato. Bry Lex gets one back in the second off an RBI single from Lowell Snyder. A Doug Monnihoff single helps push another run across in the third as we head to the fourth inning with Bry Lex trailing by one run. Snyder helps again and nets another single to give Bry Lex a brief lead at 4-3. That was short lived as Wackers would erupt in the bottom of the fourth. Jaime Glennon and Mike Kelly had RBI singles, Carmen Brancato had an RBI double and Joe Murray blast a three run homer. Back to back RBI triples from Ryan Hines and Shawn Pfleger try to get Bry Lex back into the game by cutting into the deficit. Nick DiPaulo also gets into the action with a RBI double, but the bats go cold for the rest of the game for Bry Lex. They are able to get some bases runners, but can’t push any across. Wackers win 12-7.

Player of the Game:
Bill Brancato (Wackers) – 3/3, 2B, HR, 2 RBI’s

Game#3 – The Maize vs. Sons of Pitches

Deb Dando and Joe DeSousa start the game off for Maize with back to back RBI singles as they go up first. Pitches start there scoring in the bottom of the second with a two run bomb from CJ. Motts. Jill Beck gets into the scoring with a RBI single. Both teams come out strong in the third with Maize starting with four runs across in the inning. Dando and DeSousa were at it again with an RBI single and RBI walk respectfully. Pitches got their five runs from an RBI single from Dan Leiger, RBI walk from Dad Motts, sac flies from Chris Edgar and C.J Motts and finally a solo bomb from Jon Motts. Pitches start to ramp up their scoring in the fifth and sixth as well as play really good defense in the field. Pitches grab 11 runs late thanks to some big extra base hits. Geiger had a bases clearing double and Dad Motts had a two run bomb. There was just too much of Pitches late in this one as they roll. Pitches win 20-7.
