B West Softball home stretch!

Pitch, Please @ Cifelli Sunoco

The top 2 offenses in the division did not disappoint in this one and they started EARLY and continued to score often. Self inflicted wounds for Cifelli early hurt them with 6 walks, 2 errors and a double by Joe Kindt 7-0 after 1 offof just 1 hit. Rob Worthington responded quickly with a 2 run BOMB, Mike Schoenggel followed that up with a BOMB 7-3 after 1. The more runs than hits theme continued for Pitch, Please with 4 more runs on just 3 hits the big blow was another Joe Kindt double. I feel like this is deja vu in the 3rd, 4 more runs on 3 more hits, the big blow was a... double by Joe Kindt. 15-3 going into the bottom of the 3rd when Cifelli finally woke up! Double by Rob Worthington, back to back jacks by Sam Ryan and Toby Coleman to get 3 back in a hurry. Jayden Newman doubled to help Cifelli score 2 more in the 3rd. 15-8 after 3. Cifelli finally gets a shut down inning and they continue to claw back into this one. Double by Rob Worthington (trendy) and another homer by Mike Schoenggel ( I really keep double checking the score sheet ). 15-11 after 4. 5 more runs with Pitch, Please on 3 more hits... The big blow, a Joe Kindt GRAND SALAMI! In the 6th Pitch, Please put this one away with 6 more runs on 4 hits, the big blows came from Joe Kindt ( Stop pitching to him ) and Joe Weeks! Cifelli Sunoco tried to fight back with 5 runs in the 6th coming on the back of a Jayden Newman GRAND SLAM but they would come up short.

Pitch, Please - 26
Cifelli Sunoco - 19

Game MVP(s) - Joe Kindt who went NUTS 5-5 with 5 extra base hits, 4 doubles and a Grand Slam, scoring 4 runs and driving in 11 RBI's! This is probably the game of the YEAR for an individual player in ANY league.

HG Coal Fired Pizza vs Isotopes

Isotopes tried a bold strategy this week but it didn't pay off. Nobody showed up. HG by Forfeit.

SCLSU Mud Dogs @ HG Coal Fired Pizza

This game wasn't a game at all as the Mud Dogs were missing Bobby Boucher and did not win the Bourban bowl. HG however had a full array of defense allowing 0 runs. Offensively the game winning run was score in the first inning off a walk and sac fly. Brendan Parker cleared the bases with a double in the 2nd. Andrew Parker and Ken Stein hit BAZOOKA's in the 3rd for Home Runs! This game was over before it started..
HG Coal Fired Pizza - 20
Mud Dogs minus Bobby - 0

Game MVP(s) - Andrew Parker 3-4 with a Home Run

Hattricks @ Jackhammers

In the game of the day, Hattricks started the scoring in the top of the 1st with a Josh Graef double to score 2 runs. Jackhammers squeezed one through on singles in the 1st and the 2nd to tie the game at 2. Hatticks added 3 more in the 3rd on a Josh Graef double again but this time John Scott joined the party with a double of his own. Dan Jenson laced a triple to get one back for the Hammers! 5-3 after 4 innings. Hatticks claws across 2 more to lenthen its lead in the 5th. The game came down to the 6th inning down 7-3, Jackhammers got 4 straight hits to score 3 runs, Rob Wardrop with a huge double to make it 7-6. The tying run on and 0 outs, 3 straight fly outs to LC kept Hatticks up 1 and secured the victory.
Hattricks - 7
Jackhammers - 6

Game MVP(s) - Christian Volger and John Scott (4-5 hitters for Hattricks) who went 8-8 combined.

Sons of Pitches @ Philly's Phinest

Sons of Pitches jumped all over Philly's Phinest with 11 first inning runs, doubles by Austin Kooker, Dylan Brooks, Joe Stankouks and Josh Kesczyk were the big blows of the inning. Senior Rocks would drive himself and Junior Rocks in with a 2 run homer in the 1st to get 2 back. In the 3rd Sons of Pitches would stretch their lead with 7 more runs on doubles by Kooker, Josh Keszczyk, Joey Giampietro and a triple by Dylan Coughlin to make it an 18-2 game. Philly's Phinest got 2 more in the last inning but not nearly enough.
