Game 1: Sunday Scaries vs. Dave & Confused
The first run in this game came in the bottom of the first as Dave & Confused poked a few singles to plate one. In the bottom of the second, a bases loaded walk and a sacrifice fly added another two runs to the board. More walks and singles helped Dave & Confused put another three runs on the board with Dave Graves driving a pair in. Finally getting on the scoresheet in the top of the fourth, Sunday scaries forced an error, drew a walk, poked a couple singles, and got back to back doubles from Andrew Coates and Josh Persling on their way to a four run frame. Mark Mcinney ripped an RBI double in the bottom of the fourth to get a run back for Dave & Confused. Defense took over for both teams in the final three innings and Dave & Confused held onto their lead, defeating Sunday Scaries 7-4.

Man of the Match: Josh Persling (3-3, R, 2B, 2 RBI)

Game 2: Sunday Scaries vs. Saints and Sinners
Sunday Scaries jumped out to a quick lead by scoring a run on a handful of singles in the top of the first. Saints and Sinners smack a string of singles to take the lead on three runs as James Standish Sr. collected a pair of RBIs. In the top of the second, Sunday Scaries draw a couple walks, poke a few singles, and Tommy Thronton smashed a bases loaded triple to retake the lead on a five run effort. Saints and Sinners get one back in the bottom of the frame on a sac fly to cut their deficit to one. Sunday Scaries keep rolling in the top of the third, getting a leadoff triple from Josh Persling and a two run bomb from Kris Karaba on their way to scoring three. In the top of the fourth, four more were brought in, highlighted by doubles off the bats of Tommy Thornton and Josh Persling plus a triple from Pat Deacon. Greg Morris smacks a two run triple for Saints and Sinners in the bottom of the fourth to help them plate three, cutting into their growing deficit. In the top of the fifth, Sunday Scaries pull away. They score eight runs on five walks, four singles, and a sac fly. One more crosses the dish for Sunday Scaries in the top of the sixth thanks to four straight singles as they go station to station. Saints and Sinners match their opponents in the bottom of the inning thanks to a pair each of singles and walks, but they fell well short of a comeback run. Scoring in every inning, Sunday Scaries easily defeats Saints and Sinners 22-8.

Man of the Match: Kris Karaba (4-4, 2 R, HR, 4 RBI)

Game 3: Saints and Sinners vs. Alliance Hauling

Chris Fig’s RBI triple got Saints and Sinners on the board quickly with a run in the top of the first. Alliance Hauling responds by taking the lead with three runs on four singles and a pair of walks. In the top of the second, Saints and Sinners got a run back, this time thanks to Kyle Mason slapping a double. Alliance Hauling plates a pair in the bottom of the frame with Tyler Millan and Dennis Quinlisk each collecting an RBI on a triple and single, respectively. In the bottom of the third, Alliance tally three runs on an error, singles, and a sac fly. After a couple innings of scoreless softball, four insurance runs crossed the dish for Alliance Hauling thanks to a handful of singles that followed Jake Fazio’s leadoff double. In the top of the seventh, Kyle Mason led off with a base knock and scored, but that would account for all the offense Saints and Sinners could muster. Alliance Hauling downs Saints and Sinners 12-3.

Man of the Match: Tyler Millan (3-5, 2 R, 3B, 4 RBI)

Game 4: Alliance Hauling vs. Ball Busters
Fresh off a win and a Man of the Match nomination, Tyler Millan drove in the first run of the game on a base knock in the top of the first. In the bottom of the frame, a double from Andrew Parker and triples from Jay Stein and Brendan Parker helped plate four runs for Ball Busters as they quickly established a lead. The next inning, Tim Fossile ripped a double to plate two for Alliance Hauling. In the bottom of the second, Ball Busters’ Tyler Cohen tripled and scored on a sac fly before Zach Lyall ripped a double, scoring on a throwing error. Two sac flies from Ball Busters scored two more in the bottom of the third. Mike Marcelline doubled in one run for Ball Busters in the bottom of the fifth, then they plated two more in the sixth thanks to a sac fly and a few singles. Alliance Hauling went down 1-2-3 in the top of the seventh as they fell to Ball Busters 11-3.

Man of the Match: Brendan Parker (4-4, 2 R, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI)

Game 4: Palz Tap House vs. Dirt Stars
The first scoring in this one came in the bottom of the first with Dirt Stars hitting three straight singles and following with back-to-back sac flies to tally three runs. In the top of the second, Palz bats around via a walk, six singles, and two sac flies to total five runs. Dan Curran and John Boyle start the bottom of the second with back-to-back doubles as Dirt Stars score twice and tie the game. After a quiet third, each team plates a run in the fourth to maintain the tie after four innings. Dirt Stars reclaim their lead in the bottom of the fifth, poking four singles to score a pair of runs. In the top of the sixth, Alex Freeman doubled and scored to cut Palz’ deficit down to one. In the bottom of the frame, Dan Curran ripped a double to score two more for Dirt Stars, who now had a three run lead. Palz continued to hit in the top of the seventh,. They batted around again, matching their five run output the last time they did so, this time with Alex Freeman launching a three run dinger to take a two run lead. In the bottom of the seventh, Dirt Stars ran into some tough pitching as they went down 1-2-3 on three consecutive foul outs. Palz Tap House edged Dirt Stars in a back and forth thriller, earning a 12-10 victory.
