Game One: Dookie Brester v. Beers

DB played this one short handed and it showed a little. Axel hitting out of the 6 spot produced big with 4 runs scored and smashing a solo bomb in the 5th. Tom Koelzer had a bomb as well, a 2-run shot in the 6th inning helping the squad stay in the game. Jay Cybok tripled and scored in the 7th helping the team score 12.

Beers had an opportunity to take advantage of the short handed team but didn’t really get going until the 4th. Rich Falcione, Justin Bathurst and Ryan Maley all had rbi doubles while Scott Runzer tripled home one. In the 5th, Josh Goldberg hit a solo bomb and after Connor MacFarlane tripled and scored in the 6th to tie the game, Josh made sure to lead off the 7th as the only hitter. He hit a walk off somo home run to defeat Dookie 13-12.


Game Two: The Cannons v. Kings Corner

Cannons had nothing going offensively in the early part of this game until the 4th inning. There, they exploded for 13 runs highlighted by a solo home run off the bat of Andrew Parker, a 2-run single by Adam Bugashirski and a 2-run homer by Josh Keszyk. Mike Marcellina doubled home 2 in the 6th and Brenda Parker added two more ribbies in the 7th to help them take a late lead.

King’s Corner started out good out the game. Mat Crowell had a first inning 2-run single and added another in the 2nd. Jarrett Kears and John Erb went back-to-back on the long ball in the 3rd with Erb hitting another in the 5th and an rbi single in the 6th. Training by just a run in the 7th, a double by Frank Staber brought the tying run to base but he would proceed no further. Cannons hung on to win 20-19.


Game Three: Wire 2 Wire v. Team Horsham

W2W opened the game very well offensively. With Joe DiMazza leading off the game with a triple, he quickly scored on Greg Guarino Sac fly Jared Fagnano doubled home 2 runs to help in the 6-run effort. Gene Walczak smashed a solo bomb in the 3rd in the midst of an 8-run inning. Bill Shallcross had a 2-rbi sac fly and John Delligetti singled home 2. The team went quiet in the middle innings before plating 4 in the 7th as Jacob McDeritt cleared the bags with a triple. The team finished with 19.

Horsham’s big inning came in the 5th when they pushed 10 men across. Jarrett Prendergast singled home 2 runs and Brian McE doubled homea couple more runs. A key error in the 7th inning allowed Horsham to single home a run but the late rally eventually fell short and Horsham went down 19-18.


Game Four: Dingers v. Just Food

This was a rough night for Just Food as the offense managed just 4 runs on 10 hits. Justin Glennon went 2-2 with a single and a double to go along with 2 rbi. Tony Stuart also went 2-2 with a single and a triple while driving in 1.

Dingers on the other hand, well, a very nice night at the plate. Jake McCall drove in a run in each of his four AB’s while also going back-to-back in the 5th inning with Pete Auteri – both hitting solo HR’s. Connor O’Keefe had a 4th inning 2-run triple which really put the exclamation point in the game at that point. Dingers scored 23 runs and dominated Just Food by 19.
