Game #1 – Altek vs. Rock N’ Rebel

Altek get rolling with an RBI double from Adam Volpe and two run single from Scott Flaherty. Rebel respond with three runs of their own. Mark McCouch does the damage with a three run bomb. Kevin Cuikla gets on the homer train and smacks a solo shot of his own. Rebel gets rolling in the bottom of the inning with four runs as they take the lead. Mark McCouch Sr. knocks in two runs on an RBI triple. Altek goes on time in the third as they push across runs on a Ray Derstine two run single and Flaherty RBI single. Rebel step up again and tie this one up on a sac fly from Bobby Citrino. Both teams explode in the eighth inning. Nick Cataldi has the big shot with a grand slam in the inning for Altek. Rebel get their runs from a McCouch Jr. two run bomb as well as Stefano Giuliani two run double. Rebel holds a two run lead heading to the sixth inning. Altek get five runs to take the lead. Cataldi had two more runs in the inning. Rebel answer as they have all game and get four runs in the bottom of the inning. Giuliani knocks in the game winning run with a walk off single as we end early due to time. Rebel wins 23-22.

Game #2 – Wehrung’s vs. Rock N Rebel


Lowell Snyder gets the scoring going for Wehrungs with an RBI single, followed up by a two run single from Shelby Bryan a couple of batters later. Kyle Hendricks and Nick Meyers net two more runs later in the inning with RBI singles. Rebel gets three of them back in the bottom of the inning with an Ed Reynolds two run single. Wehrungs get right back to work in the second thanks to a big Luke Hendricks three run bomb. Rebel get some runs back in the third when McCouch Jr. smashes a grand slam. Wehrungs get another three runs in the fourth from a Cheyanne Guinan sac fly and Bill Saxton hit. Wehrungs net four insurance runs in the top of the seventh from a two run double from Wyatt Schilling as well as a RBI single from Shelby Bryan. Cindy Snyder also added an RBI on a hit. Rebel gets a couple of runs in the bottom of the inning with a two run double from Erik Stalford, but that is all they can muster up as they will fall in this one. Wehrungs win 19-13.

Game #3– The Maize vs. Wehrung’s

The Maize start the scoring with a two run single from Aaron Worthington as they take an early 3-0 lead. Wehrungs respond in the bottom of the inning with back to back RBI singles from Lowell Snyder and Hendricks. Schilling also adds one on a fielder’s choice as they tie this game up. Neither team scores in the second, which sends us to the third where Maize takes the lead on a couple of hits and an error. Wehrungs grab six more runs on a Tom Eggito two run double and Austin Grasso two run triple. Keith Bellinger also added a run on an RBI single. Hendricks smashes a solo bomb in the fourth inning and are able to grab a run later in the game, but they wouldn’t have enough in this one. Maize doubles and wins this one. Maize wins 14-5.
