Game One: Sons of Pitches @ The Generals
SofP’s got consistent offense all night long via the short game: singles and walks. Generally speaking, the same can’t be said about the Generals as they’d open with 2 scoreless innings. Entering the 3rd, the Generals found themselves down 4-0. Justin Hager and Adam Gingerich each singled and scored, helping to cut the lead down to 4-3. But it wouldn’t be enough. SofP’s would answer with a big 4th inning behinds runs by Trevor Harris, Tim Glick, Keith Bauer, and the Bobby twins (Hartzell & Louderbach). Nine different Generals would score on the night, with John Fink as the only team member scoring twice.

Player of the Game: Trevor Harris, Sons of Pitches, 3 for 4, 3 runs scored, 1 BB

Game Two: Dirty Dozen @ Generals
Generally speaking, scoring 4 runs in a game won’t get the job done. The Generals' highlight hit was to open the 7th, as Chris Forester would later score on an Andy Wilson sac fly. D12 started slow, going scoreless in the opening 3 innings. But a Justin O’Brien walk opened the offensive output as Cody Nash would single in JB, Vinny Anzideo would single in Kevin Carver, and Will Schultz would hit a sac fly driving in Cody Nash. Nash and O’Brien would strike again each with long balls over the fence. D12 defeats the Generals, 17- 10.

Player of the Game: Justin O’Brien, Dirty Dozen, 3 for 4, 1 HR, 5 RBIs 4 runs scored, 2 doubles.

Game Three: Dirty Dozen @ Misfits
Again, D12 would start slow, trickling in a few runs in the first 4 innings. O’Brien would strike again with a 2 run homer. The Misfits would have a nice 3rd inning, stringing together a series of singles, walks, and doubles - posting 5 in the inning. Tim Caldwell doubled in 2 runs and Joe Schneidinger would score on a Dan Benner bases loaded walk. D12 proved to be too much, scoring 7 runs in the final two innings to defeat the Misfits, 12-6.

Player of the Game: John Aiken, D12, 3 for 4, 2 runs scored.

***Shout out to my rugged goods looks. In the words of Billy Joel, "Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes." For now it's goodbye... until next week!
