Game 1: Dirty Dozen vs. Vertex
Back to back doubles by Steve H and Pat K net Vertex three runs in the bottom of the first. Vertex picks up another run in the bottom of the second. DD gets on the board in the top of the third with six runs thanks to a grand slam by Anthony Crawford. CJ Snyder smokes an RBI double for Vertex in the bottom of the fourth. Anthony Crawford rips an RBI double for DD in the top of the fifth. Vertex rallies for four runs in the bottom of the seventh with Keith Crowell ripping a two run game winning single. Vertex walks it off against Dirty Dozen, 10-9.
Game 2: Doom Cats vs. Bird Gang
Troy Wasserman gets DC on the board in the top of the second with a solo homer. Troy Wasserman smashes a two run homer for DC in the top of the third. Two runs cross the plate for DC in the top of the fifth on singles. BG bats around in the bottom of the fifth to put up eight runs with a huge grand slam from Jason McLaughlin. Back to back two run doubles by Zach Martin and Tom Koelzer lead to seven runs for DC in the top of the sixth. Jay Cybok rips a two run double for DC in the top of the seventh. The Doom Cats take down Bird Gang, 19-8.
Game 3: Vertex vs. Pigeon Boyz
Vertex scores five runs in the top of the first with a two run homer by Pat Kelly. PB answers with a run in the bottom of the first. Vertex bats around in the top of the second to plate FOURTEEN runs with a two run homer by Sean Nonemacher, and a Pat Kelly three run homer. CJ Snyder jacks a three run homer for Vertex in the top of the third. Tom Ivers smokes a two run triple for PB in the bottom of the third. Vertex adds seven runs in the top of the fourth on singles, and another CJ Snyder three run homer. Vertex destroys the Pigeon Boyz, 30-5.
B South
Hatfield
Game 1: The Naturals vs. Mud Dogs
TN gets a run in the top of the first. MD gets on the board with a run in the bottom of the second. Andrew M rips a double as two runs cross the plate for TN in the top of the third. A double by Anthony Schmidt rips a double to help MD plate two runs in the bottom of the sixth. The Naturals squeak by the Mud Dogs, 5-4.
Game 2: Hitmen vs. Vikings
Hitmen win by FORFEIT
Game 3: The Naturals vs. Jackhammers
TN get a run in the top of the first. Singles lead to three runs for the Jackhammers in the bottom of the first. Tom Finn rips an RBI double in the bottom of the second for the Jackhammers with five runs crossing the plate. Doubles by Dan Jansen and Evan G net the Jackhammers four runs in the bottom of the third. TN picks up two more runs in the top of the fourth. TN bats around in the top of the fifth to score six runs on walks and singles. Evan G blasts a two run homer for the Jackhammers in the bottom of the fifth. The Jackhammers score five runs in the bottom of the sixth with doubles by Mike Zahradnick, Evan G, and Jeff Hess. The Jackhammers top The Naturals, 17-10.
Game 4: Hitmen vs. Harrigan’s
Doubles by Mark Bond and Mark McLaughlin help the Hitmen plate two runs in the top of the second. Harrigan’s gets on the board in the bottom of the third with Jon Procopio solo homer. Nick Lang and Chris Cruz blast homers for the Hitmen in the top of the fourth. Dennis D’Angelo jacks a solo homer for the Hitmen in the top of the fifth as five runs come in. Harrigan’s rallies for four runs in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a Phil McCusker solo homer. The Hitmen take down Harrigan’s, 13-6.
