From The Gutter / Week 8

Post by sixofdiamonds »

Sorry the stats, standings and recaps are so late. I can only post them when I get them. This COVID crap has put a damper on the bowling center employee attendance. Thunderbird Lanes is doing the best they can with what they have to work with.

There is one issue that needs to be addressed. Below is from the bowling center and they are serious. Please pay heed to the warning.
We have an issue that I need to let you know about. People bringing in their own alcohol, this has been a repeating theme and it has to stop. Under the terms of our liquor license, if one of the bowlers were to be in an accident, our center could loose our license. That is a risk we are not willing to take. We are not going to make a big deal out of this, however if the problem continues we will have to rethink the future contract status.

Not Da Mama empties the can of ‘whoop-ass’ on Knuckle Deep taking all 7. Chad Johnson tosses a 45-over to pave the way.

A short-handed 7-10 Splits takes 5 of 7 from a struggling Split Heads. David Barth hurls a deuce.

The Three Gorillaz wake up from their stupor and sweep the girls of BLT for the 7-bagger. Keith Boyer and Mike Albert each record 3 games over.

Two and a Half Men take the lion’s share of points from Who Darted as Glen Hipple lights up the scoreboard with a 224/598.

PPB takes 5 of 7 from red-hot OWASA. Paul Harvan posts 3 games over and Bob Kolecki fires a 208. Rob Worthington’s 236 saves the 2-pointer for OWASA.

2 Balls and a Doll edge 2 Ps and a V 4-3. Manny Ortiz with a pair of 182s. Kaelyn Motts 3 games over.

In the faceoff of the Garges gang, old man Farmer Bob and Co. teach the young bucks a thing or two, however, the 7-point beat down was more of who would bowl the least worst.

Wu-Tang shows some signs of life with a 5-2 win over The Nines. The greatest comeback of all time could be in the works. Bryan Peterman hurls a 63-over 212 and Jonn Poore posts a 218 and 245. Dave Ward’s 55-over 227 saves 2 for The Nines.

7-10 Splits sit atop the American with 4 other teams within about a week’s worth of points behind. PPB leads in the National with 4 other teams about a week’s worth of points behind. With a couple of week’s worth of wins, the bottom 3 in each conference can make their presence felt. There’s still a lot of bowling left.
