Game #1 – The Maize vs. Mott-Ley Crew

Crew get rolling early in this one with seven runs right out of the gate. Jon Motts starts the scoring with an RBI single followed by an RBI double from Jeremy Villano. Carl Motts then knocks in two runs on a single of his own. Kevin Motts and Justin Ruth add RBI singles later in the inning to round out the scoring. Maize get on the board in the second inning with a Christian H RBI double and RBI singles off the bat of Samantha A and Donna H. Crew go right back to work in the next inning with another big time inning. Carl Motts gets his second two run single in the inning with Kevin Motts also knocking in one with a double. Kaelyn Motts, Ruth, Lauryn Gellak and Karissa Motts all added RBI singles in the inning as Crew lead 18-3 after two innings of play. Crew never look back and pile on late to win this one easy. CJ Motts smashed a two run homer in the third. Crew win 26-6.

Game #2 – Dug Out Demons vs. The Maize

Hannah Jimenez gets Demons on the board with a two run bomb right out of the gate. Tom Koezler then adds a bomb of his own a couple of batters later leading to a 4-0 lead early. Ben Razzi and Lauren Wood smash an RBI double and two run single respectfully to help double this lead and make it an 8-1 lead. Maize are finding runs hard to find today as they get a run on a Gary K fielder’s choice. Demons keep the pressure up with more runs on a Jake Haber RBI single and Bill Shallcross RBI double. Ben Razzi adds another RBI hit in the fourth as they push their lead to 14-2. Charlie Hooker ends this one as he smashes a solo bomb in the fifth as this one will end early. Demons win 18-2

Game #3 – Dugout Demons vs. Wackers

Demons come out looking to keep up their hots bats as they had in game one and get a run on a Jimenze sac fly. Wackers answer with two runs of their own in the bottom of the inning with help from a Matt Bookheimer RBI single. Shallcross, Rob Worthington and Razzi net three more runs in the second with RBI singles. Demons grow their lead to 8-2 after a two run double from Pat Kelly and a Koezler RBI double. Wackers answer in the bottom of the inning with an Alex Freeman two run triple as they cut into the Demons lead. Wackers start to roll late as the Demons start to slow down. Demons grab a run in each of the fourth and the fifth, before Wackers answer with five big runs in the fifth inning. Jess Frelick knocks in two runs with a single and Jason Figuora knocks in another run on a double. Wackers step up in a big way in the sixth getting three runs. Alex Freeman starts it with a sac fly, followed by a Jess Frelick RBI single. Leading by three, Demons step up and go down without any runs and they will fall in this one. Wackers win 13-10.

Game #4 – Wackers vs. Knuckleheads


Wackers come out as the away team in this one and produce six runs in the top of the first. Matt Bookheimer and Alex Freeman go back to back with an RBI double and triple followed by a Lisa Tercha two run single. Knuckleheads will struggle for the first half of this game as they struggle to get any runs on the board. Mark M grabs three runs on a two run single from Mark M and an error followed by two runs in the fourth on a Dan Vescovi two run double. Roc Akers grabs a two run double for Wackers in the top of the fifth giving them a 14-0 lead. Knuckleheads wake up in the fifth and grab two runs. A Bob Hartzell RBI double and John Schofield RBI single give Knucleheads three more runs in the sixth as they continue to try and fight back in this one. They will get one more run in the seventh, but that is where the game would end. Wacker win 14-6.
