Game One: Cannoneers @ Dirty Dozen
Top of the first, the Cannoneers did Cannoneer things. The first 7 batters would all score. In the 2nd inning, the top of the order would do it again, seeing the 1st five batters all score again. After 2 innings, The Cannoneers had 12 runs and hit 3 homers - Jake Engleman, Dan Powell, and Kyle Morrow. D12 would post 6 in this span, behind a grand slam by Joey Cook and a 2-run shot by Justin O’Brien. D12 would score 4 in the 3rd and 4 in the 4th. The Cannoneers would score 1 run in the 3rd and 4th each, pushing this game to a 14-14 tie going into the 5th. Brian Wrigley would chime in with an RBI triple. Dan Powell and Morrow followed with RBI doubles. D12 answered with 6 runs, setting up an exciting final inning. D12 entered the 6th with 20 runs. The Cannoneers entered the 6th with 18. Cannoneers would score 3 to take the lead on another Engleman bomb. Shawn Hines and Brian Wrigley would then follow with their own deep balls - but the team was over the limit, so both were batted outs. D12 followed with a Corey Gomez single, Andrew Alexander singled, and a Justin O’Brien walk off 3-run homer. 23-21.

Player of the Game: Justin O’Brien - D12 - 4 for 4, 2 BBs, 2 HRs, 1 double, 6 runs scored, 8 RBIs.

Game Two: Sons of Pitches @ Generals
SofP’s posted 10 runs in the opening 2 innings. Jayden Hurrey scored twice, Josh Carl homered, and Bobby Hartzell singled and scored twice. Generally speaking, the Generals struggle offensively, but NOT TONIGHT! They posted 8 in the opening two innings with Bryan Walton, Adam Gingerich, and Chris Forester each scoring twice. SofP’s would scored 4 more the rest of the way, highlighted by a Tim Glick bomb. The Generals would score 8 more to grab the win! Jon Fink and Forester would go back to back with dingers in the 4th. 16 - 14 final.

Player of the Game: Chris Forester - SofP’s - 3 for 4 - 1 HR, 3 runs scored, 5 RBIs, & just a single away from hitting the cycle.

Game Three: Misfits @ Cobra Kai
The Misfits would have a great night of production from the top of the lineup. Keith Linde (3 / 4), Tony Cabot (2 / 3), and John Keifer (4 / 4) - collectively would score 9 runs. Keifer posted a 3 run homer as did teammate Tim Caldwell. All in all, 17 total runs for the Misfits. The Kai would see similar production from their top as well. Sam Plaugher (3 / 4), Jay Pane (3 / 4), Donovan Squartino (2 /3) - with a Don bomb for Squartino. But the Kai would come up 1 run short, only tallying 16.

Player of the Game: John Keifer - Misfits - 4 for 4, 1 HR, 3 runs scored, 5 RBIs

***Shout out to scorekeeper, Fern. In the words of Billy Joel, "Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes." For now, it's goodbye... until next week!
