Game #1 – Altek vs. Wackers

Atelk gets the first game rolling with a two run homer off the bat of Kevin Cwikla. Wackers respond right away in the bottom of the inning with a three run effort thanks to a Jess Frelick RBI double and Dan Vescovi sac fly. Wackers get rolling again in the second inning with three more runs. Jason Figueroa started it with a sac fly followed up by a Roc Akers sac fly and Mark McLaughlin RBI single. Atlek have a good inning in the third, when they push another three run across on another bomb, this time a Kevin Cwikla three run bomb. Wackers keep the pedal to the floor with eight runs in the bottom of the inning. Alex Amador cleared the bases with a three run double, while Roc Akers and Alex Freeman smash homers, a three run and solo shot respectfully. Wackers are too much in this one and will beat Altek easily. Wackers win 17-7.

Game #2 – Wackers vs. The Maize

Wackers look to keep their hot bats going and do with one run in the top of the first. Maize go down in order and without a run, a theme that would be common in this game. Wackers play small ball and add a run in both the second and third inning, before putting up nothing in the fourth, leaving this a 3-0 game after four innings of play. Wackers finally explode in the sixth inning grabbing eight runs. Akers starts it with an RBI double followed by a two run single. Freeman then smacks a three run bomb, his second homer of the day and this time a three run shot. Dennis D’Angelo also smashes a two run bomb deep into the woods. Wackers would add five more runs in the seventh as some insurance runs. Amador goes deep in the inning with a solo shot. Maize wake up in a big way in the seventh as they will bat around and smash nine runs across the plate. A series of walks lead to a big grand slam to Aaron Worthington. Samantha Altmiller would tie bring this game to 16-11 after an RBI single. That is where they would hold up. Their offensive surge just came too late in this one. Wackers win 16-11.

Player of the Game:
Roc Akers (Wackers) – 4/4, 2 2B’s, 3B, RBI

Game #3 – The Maize vs. Rock N Rebel

The Maize keeps going with the success of their last inning grabbing two runs right out of the gate. Aaron Worthington smashes another bomb, this time a two run shot as they take a 2-0 lead. Rebel gets rolling in the bottom of the inning and grab three runs of their own. Ray Barry knocked in one on an RBI single and Sam Nagle knocks in two runs on a single. Rebel gets five more runs in the second. Rob Schuh, Barry, Nagle and Janice Tansits grab runs on singles in the inning to make this an 8-2 game. Altmiller and Keith Bellinger net Maize three more runs in the fourth, but that is where Rebel really start to run away with this game. Rebel get a two run bomb from Stefano Giuliani in the fifth, before their big inning in the sixth. Giuliani was back at it with a two run single this time, as well as a two run single from Nagle. In the end, Rebel put up 10 runs in the inning and will take care of business in this one. Rebel wins 20-8.
