Game #1 – Knuckleheads vs. Carroll’s

Carroll’s strike first with this one, getting a run on an Ali Theis single. Knuckleheads respond in the top of the second with a run of their own, getting a RBI single out of Calvin Radcliff. Knuckleheads get two more runs across the next couple innings from a Jaden Newman and Stephanie Farrar RBI single. Carroll’s match with a couple runs over the second and third as well, getting theirs from a Steve DiGiovanni RBI single and Hallie Bilker sac fly. Neither team scores until the sixth, when Knuckleheads dig deep for three runs. Tom Newell nets two runs on a sac fly, followed by a Jaden Newman RBI single. Carroll’s respond with four runs in the bottom of the inning. John Zeits and Greg Lesher had RBI singles and Kevin Shinkunas knocked in two with a single. Knuckleheads tie this game in the seventh with a sac fly from Radcliff, before they go ahead and win the game in the eighth. Bobby Hartzell knocks in two with a two run double and Jamie Burns knocks in one with a single. Carroll’s go down in the bottom of the inning and will lose this one in extra innings. Knuckleheads win 10-7.

Game #2 – Knuckleheads vs. Wehrung’s

Both teams start off slow before John Schofield grabs a run on an RBI single. Knuckleheads then really catch fire and their bats get going with four runs in the third. Stephanie Farrar gets the scoring started with an RBI triple followed by a RBI double and RBI triple from Tom Newell and Jaden Newman. They put up another four spot in the next inning as well. Bobby Hartzell paces the inning with a two run single with Newman also adding another RBI in the inning. Knuckleheads lock it down defensively and keep the pounding going at the plate. Newman continues his onslaught in this one with an RBI triple in the sixth and grand slam in the seventh. Farrar also added two more runs with a sac fly and RBI single as Knuckleheads get hot late in this one and will win easy. Knuckleheads win 22-2.

Game #3 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Wehrung’s

The third game of the nights gets rolling with a Kaelyn Motts RBI single and then a Jeremy Villano sac fly. Selina Alicea, Evan Porter, Kevin Mots then all net runs on RBI singles before Larissa Motts steps up and clears the bases with a three run triple. Wehrung’s get one run back on a Luke Hendricks fielder’s choice but still trail 8-1 after one inning. Both teams go quiet for a couple of innings until Crew comes out with a five spot in the fifth. Kaelyn Motts grabs another run on a single and Selina Alicea nets two more on a double. Wehrungs get three runs in the bottom of the inning with an Eric S RBI single, and Luke H hit. Crew responds in the top of the inning with five of their own with Kaelyn Motts again knocking in one on a single. Jon Motts decides to join the party and knocks in two runs on a double to help push their lead to 18-5. Wehrung’s shows their fight again getting another five runs in the sixth inning. Lowell Snyder had a two run single and Cindy S and Alex P had RBI singles in the inning as well. We would play one more inning in this one, but that is where this one would end. Crew wins 18-10.

Game #4 – Dugout Demons vs. Mott-Ley Crew

Demons get rolling in the first inning and coming firing out of a cannon. Ryan Goodman nets the first run with an RBI single followed by an RBI double from Pat Kelly. Bill Shallcross and Jay Pane get back to back RBI hits and later in the inning Lindsay Treen clears the bases with a double. In the end, Demons roll out to a 13-0 lead after the top half of the first. Crew strike back with just one run on a Jeremy Villano sac fly. Crew grab a couple more runs in the second on a Kevin Motts RBI single and Larissa Motts fielder’s choice to bring the game to within 10 runs. Crew keep fighting with four more runs in the third, three of them coming off the bat of Villano with a three run homer deep into the quarry woods. Both teams go quiet for a couple of innings before Demons explode again, this time for 14 runs. Pat Kelly nets two runs on a two run single, Lindsay Treen knocks in three runs with a two run double and RBI single respectfully. In the end, Demons roll in this one and take out Crew. Demons win 29-10.
