Game #1 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Dug Out Demons

Jon Motts gets this night rolling with an RBI single to give Crew the early 1-0 lead. Demons immediately respond with an RBI fielder’s choice from Pat Kelley and solo bomb off the bat of Tom Koezler. Crew get to hitting in the second, grabbing RBI singles from Tom Finn, Greg Reilly, Jon Motts and CJ Motts as they take a 6-1 lead. Demons respond with three runs of their own on RBI hits from Jay Pane and Ben Razzi as they trail by one after two innings. Demons tie this game up in the third on a Koezler RBI double. Crew open up a lead again in the fourth on RBI singles from Jeremy Villano and Jon Motts as well as a two run single from Evan Porter. Nonny tries bring Demons back in this one again on a two run single bringing them to within a run in the fifth inning, but again in the sixth, Crew take the lead again. Villano goes yard with a bomb over the left field fence to bring their lead up to five again. Villano strikes again in the seventh with another two run bomb. Even with a Nonny two run single in the back of the inning, Demons will fall short in game 1 and be in a hole starting in game 2. Crew wins 17-13.

Player of the Game:
Jeremy Villano (Crew) – 3/3, 2 HR’s, 5 RBI’s

Game #2 – Dug Out Demons vs. Mott-Ley Crew

Both teams would come out slow in the second game after all the emotion of the first game. Demons would grab a run on a Pat Kelley sac fly and a Nonny single and the score would sit at 2-0 after three innings of play. Crew would get on the board in the fourth getting a run off a Jon Motts RBI single and an error as they tie this game up. Demons don’t like that and take the lead back again. Ryan Goodman crushes a triple followed by a Bill Shallcross sac fly as they double up on Crew again. Kelley smashes an RBI triple of his own in the sixth followed by a Goodman RBI double and Shallcross two run single as the Demons push their lead over to 9-3. Villano adds a late three run bomb to try and park Crew, but Crew struggle in this one and will fall. Demons win 10-6.

Player of the Game:
Ryan Goodman (Demons) – 2/3, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI’s

Game #3 – Mott-Ley Crew vs. Dug Out Demons

Crew get rolling in game three better than in the second game getting back to back homers off the bat of Evan Porter and Jeremy Villano to take the 4-0 lead. Jon Motts add another run for the Crew on an RBI double. Demons start to fight back in the fourth with three runs on a Koezler solo bomb, Jake Haber RBI single and Greta Sheridan sac fly. Crew respond right away getting five more runs and doubling up on Demons again. Greg Reilly and Kaelyn Motts drew back to back RBI walks followed by RBI singles from CJ Motts and Tom Finn. Crew look to put their name on the trophy with a massive inning in the sixth. Reilly and Kaelyn Motts had back to back two run doubles, followed by a two run bomb off the bat of Jon Motts. In the end, Crew puts up nine runs and leads 19-4 heading into the bottom of the sixth. With their backs against the wall, Demons fight and get four runs back. Pat Kelly and Koezler knock in runs on a single and triple respectfully, followed by a Goodman RBI single. Unfortunately for them, that is all the offense that they have left in the tank tonight, and Crew will walk away with the title. Crew win 19-8.

Player of the Game:
Jeremy Villano (Crew) – 3/4, 2 HR’s, 2 RBI’s

Player of the Week:
Jeremy Villano (Crew) – 7/10, 5 HR’s, 10 RBI’s
