Game One: Misfits @ Sons of Pitches
The Misfits started this game with 3 runs in the top of the first. Benner, Keifer, and Jordan each would cross the plate - but those would be the only runs of the game for the Misfits. SofP’s Would equal the Misfit’s 3 runs in the bottom of the inning and add 11 more throughout the game. Jayden Hurrey would score twice, as would Tim Frei, Bab Stanley, Bob Hartzell, Derek Benner, and Trevor Harris. SofP’s win 14 - 3.

Player of the Game: Derek Benner - SofP’s - 4 for 4, 2 runs scored, 2 RBIs, 1 triple.

Game Two: Cobra Kai @ Cannoneers
In a rematch of the last regular season game and of last season’s finals, the Cobra Kai visited the Cannoneers. The Kai would get 1 run in the first via a Sam Plaugher solo homer. The third inning was a Kai explosion, scoring 9. Corey Gomez would blast a 3-run homer and Jake Haber drove in 2 via his double. The Kai would tack on a few more via a Donnie Squartino 2-run dinger and a series of singles. The home Cannoneers trickled in a few runs in the opening innings. Jake Engelman’s 4th inning 3-run homer got them to 6 total runs. In the 5th, the Cannoneers opened up a can and threw 8 runs on the board. Entering the bottom of the 7th, the Cannoneers trailed the Kai by 1. Shawn Hines would open the inning with a double, but the closest to home he’d see is 3rd base. The Kai closed out 3 of the next 4 batters to secure a bid in the Friday finals.

Player of the Game: Donnie Squartino - Cobra Kai - 3 for 3, 1 BB, 1 HR - 3 runs scored, 3 RBIs

Game Three: Sons of Pitches @ Dirty Dozen
SofP’s would take the top seed to their limits in the prime time spot. The top of this lineup would score 10 runs themselves. Jayden Hurrey, Time Frei, Tim Gluck, and Bob Stanley would tally 7 RBIs, 2 HRs, and 10 total runs. D12 would see the reverse, as the bottom carried them tonight. Jordan Cook, Joey Cook, John Aiken, and Kevin Carver would tally up 10 runs themselves. Going into the bottom of the 7th, D12 found themselves down 16-10. 7 runs later, D12 secured the 2nd spot in the finals.

Player of the Game: Jordan Cook - D12 - 4 for 4, 1 HR, 1 DBL, 2 RBIs, 4 runs scored.

***Shout out to scorekeeper, Fern. In the words of Billy Joel, "Life is a series of hellos and goodbyes." For now, it's goodbye... until next week!
