Game #1 – Wackers vs. Rock N Rebel

Wackers get rolling in the first with three runs right out of the gate. Lisa Tercha smashes an RBI single while Alejandro Amadro knocks in one on an RBI triple. A batter later, Dan Vescovi knocks in one with an RBI triple as well. Wackers get rolling again in the second inning with five more runs. Jason Figueroa starts it with a two run double, followed by a Pete Herbert two run double. Alex Freeman knocks in one with an RBI double to round out the inning. Rebel will really struggle in this one, only able to push across two runs. Ed Reynolds and Donna Finlayson RBI singles are the only runs scored for Rebel in this one. Wackers bat around in the fourth and take this one easy. Feeman and Amado smash RBI triples to end this game early. Wackers win 17-2.

Game #2 – Knuckleheads vs. Rock N Rebel

Knuckleheads come out of the gate firing with a two run bomb off the bat of Steph Farrer. Jon Poore matches her and smashes a two run bomb of his own to put them up 4-0. Jamie Burns will add one more run on an RBI single to make this a 5-0 lead after the first half of the inning. Rebel will get two runs back in the second on a two run single from Janice Tansits. The third inning was very good to Knuckleheads as they bat around and push across nine runs. John Schofield got it started with a two run single followed by two bombs, a grand slam off the bat of Jesse Faller and a two run bomb off the bat of Poore, his second of the game. Knuckleheads will get another solo bomb from Poore in the fifth as they look to take this game big. Rebel will step up in the fifth needing a bunch of runs to stay in this game, but will end up with six. A two run single from Erik S and two run triple from Ed Reynolds help to try and stay in it. The Flip Flop rule is in effect so Rebel will get three more outs to try and extend, but will fall in this one. Knuckleheads win 23-8.

Game #3 – Carroll’s Jewelers vs. Dugout Demons

Demons will strike first in this one, getting an RBI single from Pat Kelley followed by a three run bomb off the bat of Tom Koelzer. Tara Solar will add an RBI single a couple batters later, as they take a 5-0 lead right out of the gate. Homers will continue to pace Demons as the next inning Demons go back to back getting homers from Pat Kelley and Tom Koezler, a two run and solo shot respectfully. Carroll’s will get on the board in the third, with a sac fly off the bat of Greg Lesher. A Bob McClintock RBI single and Lesher RBI triple get Carroll’s two more runs across the fourth and fifth inning. Demons come out firing in the fifth then. Koezler is back at it with a two run double, followed by a Goodman RBI single. Jake Haber and Soler grab back to back RBI singles a couple batters later, and Krysta Weillington rounds out the inning with a two run double. Demons will run away with this one and win easy. Demons win 17-3.

Game #4 – Carroll’s Jewelers vs. Mott-Ley Crew

Carroll’s get rolling with three runs in the first inning after only scoring three in the prior game. Lesher had an RBI single, Bryan Bart had a sac fly and McClintock had an RBI single. Carroll’s match that and get three runs of their own in the second. John Zeits had a two run single and Bill Shipe had an RBI double. Crew got three back with a CJ Motts two run bomb and Evan Porter solo bomb. The bats go quiet for Crew for a couple of innings while Carrolls net two more runs in the fourth off back to back hits from Shipe and Bart. Crew get three back in the bottom of the inning. Carl Motts, Selina Alicea and Kevin Motts all had RBI singles in the inning. Carroll’s have a massive inning in the sixth as they look to take control of this game. Bart had a two run single and McClintock had an RBI single while Steve D had a two run single in the inning. Shipe, later in the inning, adds a two run double. Crew look to strike back in the bottom of the inning, but can only end up with two on RBI singles from Jon Duchette and Kevin Motts. Crew will run out of the steam in this one and fall. Carroll’s win 18-10.
