A Division

Quarry

Game 1: Vertex vs. Pigeon Boyz

Vertex bats around in the top of the first to score six runs thanks to a Pat Kelley RBI double, and a John Erb grand slam. Vertex bats around again in the top of the second to put up five runs with a Matt Schaub grand slam. Four runs cross the plate for Vertex in the top of the third thanks to an RBI double by Dan Cymerman, and a Mat Crowell RBI triple. PB gets on the board with three runs in the bottom of the fourth, courtesy of a three runs triple by Brett Anker. Vertex adds ELEVEN runs in the top of the fifth on singles, a two run homer by Pat Kelley, and a Matt Schaub three run homer. Back doubles by Tom Ivers and Mike Gilbert net PB two runs in the bottom of the fifth. Vertex destroys the Pigeon Boyz, 26-5.

Game 2: Silverbacks vs. Pigeon Boyz

The Silverbacks plate five runs in the top of the first with a three run triple by Ari Silverstein. Shane Hanna blasts a two run homer for PB in the bottom of the first. The Silverbacks bat around in the top of the third to score ELEVEN runs on singles, and homers by Dave Porco and Ari Silverstein. PB bats around in the bottom of the third to put up five runs on singles. The Silverbacks pick up four runs in the top of the fourth thanks to a three run double by Scott Castner and an Ari Silverstein solo homer. The Silverbacks push five runs across in the top of the fifth thanks to doubles by Ari Silverstein and Rob McKenna, and a DJ Ellars two run homer. The Silverbacks beat up on the Pigeon Boyz, 29-9.

Game 3: Silverbacks vs. Dirty Dozen

Ari Silverstein rips an RBI double for the Silverbacks in the top of the first. DD answers with a run in the bottom of the first. The Silverbacks put up three runs in the top of the second on doubles by Phil B, Scott C and JJ W. Jamal Covington smokes an RBI double for the Silverbacks in the top of the third. John Erb launches a two run homer for DD in the bottom of the third. DD bats around in the bottom of the fifth to plate nine runs with a two run triple by Pete Hibbert, and a Jeremy Sisk grand slam. Singles lead to three runs for the Silverbacks in the top of the sixth. Dirty Dozen squeaks by the Silverbacks, 12-11.

Game 4: Bird Gang vs. Ball Busters

Andrew Parker gives BB an early lead with a two run homer in the bottom of the first. BG bats around in the top of the second to plate nine runs on singles a solo homer by James McLaughlin, and a Justin Huber grand slam. BB picks up five runs in the bottom of the third with an RBI triple by Jay Stein. BG gets two runs in the top of the fourth. Dave Rothenberger jacks a three run homer for BG in the top of the fifth. Andrew Parker smokes a two run double for BB in the bottom of the fifth. Jason McLaughlin rips an RBI double for BG in the top of the sixth. BB rallies for four runs in the bottom of the seventh with Mike M ripping a two out game winning single. Ball Busters walks it off over Bird Gang, 17-16.

B South

Hatfield

Game 1: Mud Dogs vs. Naturals

MD gets on the board with a run in the top of the second. Angel Alicea blasts a solo homer for MD in the top of the fourth. MD bats around in the top of the sixth to score five runs on singles. The Naturals finally get on the board in the bottom of the seventh and rally for three runs thanks to an RBI double by Nick Ryan. The Mud Dogs beat the Naturals, 8-3.

Game 2: Isotopes vs. Birds of War

BOW bats around in the bottom of the first to score FIFTEEN runs on walks, singles, RBI doubles by Alex Olmeida and Casey Condron, an Andy Snyder triple, and a grand slam by David Mauricio. BOW puts up six runs in the bottom of the second on singles, and doubles by David Mauricio and Andy Snyder. Matt Jacobson smashes a three run homer for BOW in the bottom of the third. The Isotopes get on the board in the top of the fourth. Birds of War destroy the Isotopes, 26-1.

Game 3: Do Work vs. Rolling Rocks

RR bats around in the bottom of the first to put up seven runs on homers by Joey Ferrell and Arik Fenton. DW bats around in the top of the second to score nine runs with doubles by Jim McHale and Scott Chimora, a Kevin O’Donnell triple, and a grand slam by Scott Chimora. RR plates five runs in the bottom of the fourth on doubles by Chris Hosington, Ryan Thomas, and Harry Steglich. DW bats around again in the top of the fifth on five runs with another Scott Chimora grand slam. RR rallies for two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Rolling Rocks squeaks by Do Work, 15-14.

Game 4: Vikings vs. Webb Gems

WG takes an early lead with six runs on singles in the bottom of the first. The Vikings get three runs in the top of the second with an RBI double by Joey G. Back to back RBI triples by Andrew Alexander and Anthony Izzi net WG two runs in the bottom of the second. Derek Myers smashes a two run homer for the Vikings in the top of the sixth. WG scores six runs in the bottom of the sixth with a three run triple by Andrew Alexander. Webb Gems get by the Vikings, 16-7.

Cedar Hill

Game 1: Do Work vs. The Naturals

TN bats around in the bottom of the first to get TEN runs with triples by Miles Munz and Glen Hipple, and a Partha Patel two run homer. Nick Ryan jacks a three run homer for TN in the bottom of the second. Jim McHale blasts a solo homer for DW in the top of the fourth. Randy Worthington smokes a two run triple for DW in the top of the fifth. DW bats around in the top of the sixth to push seven runs across thanks to a Rob Worthington RBI triple, and a Kevin O’Donnell two run homer. TN gets another two runs in the bottom of the sixth. The Naturals top Do Work, 18-10.

Game 2: Do Work vs. Birds of War

DW bats around in the top of the first to score seven runs thanks to two run doubles by Scott Chmura and Kevin O’Donnell. BOW answers with two runs in the bottom of the first. Kevin O’Donnell smashes a three run homer for DW in the top of the second. Matt Jacobson jacks a two run homer for BOW in the bottom of the second. BOW bats around in the bottom of the fourth to plate six runs with a three run double by Matt Jacobson, and a David Mauricio three run homer. Two runs come in for DW in the top of the fifth thanks to an RBI double by Scott Chmura, and a Jim McHale RBI triple. Jim McHale rips a two run double for DW in the top of the sixth. BOW rallies for a run in the bottom of the seventh. Do Work out slugs Birds of War, 17-14.

Game 3: Birds of War vs. Vikings

BOW scores four runs in the top of the first with doubles by Ryan Mcavey and Tom Bush, and an Andy Snyder triple. A leadoff double by Corey Van Fossen nets the Vikings a run in the bottom of the second. The Vikings bat around in the bottom of the third to put up eight runs thanks to doubles by Mike Michini, Derrick Myers, and Corey Van Fossen, and a Jake Gladish three run homer. David Muaricio blasts a solo homer for BOW in the top of the fourth. The Vikings bat around in the bottom of the fourth to add six runs BOW bats around in the top of the sixth to score TEN runs on walks, singles, a two run double by Andy Snyder. The Vikings rally for three runs in the bottom of the sixth with Dave Cristy ripping the game winning single. The Vikings walk it off over Birds of War, 19-18.

Lukens III

Game 1: Mud Dogs vs. Rolling Rock

Singles give MD four runs in the top of the first. RR answers with nine runs in the bottom of the first thanks to doubles by Crockett, Condron, and Steglich, and a Thomas solo homer. Cowan smashes a two run homer for RR in the bottom of the second. Five runs cross the plate for MD in the top of the third thanks to a two run homer by Matt Figueroa. Back to back homers by Condron and Hosington lead to three runs for RR in the bottom of the fourth. MD bats around in the top of the sixth to put up six runs on singles. Rolling Rocks out slugs the Mud Dogs, 19-16.

Game 2: Web Gems vs. Isotopes

WG picks up seven runs in the top of the first on singles, and a two run double by Eric Adiletto. The Isotopes answer with two runs in the bottom of the first. WG bats around again in the top of the second to plate nine runs thanks to homers by Andrew Alexander and Eric Wrenn. Back to back RBI doubles by Arik Fenton and Eric Adiletto net WG two runs in the top of the third. Keith Youse and Drew Fiorante smash homers for the Isotopes in the bottom of the third. Back to back RBI triples by Ray Savage and Keith Youse lead to three runs for the Isotopes in the bottom of the fifth. Anthony Izzi smokes a three run double for WG in the top of the sixth. Zac Warren jacks a two run homer for the Isotopes in the bottom of the sixth. Web Gems beat down the Isotopes 22-8.
