Dave and Confused vs. Dugout Demons

Graves’ squad goes radio silent in the top of the 1st, while Dugout Demons scores 3, courtesy of a Ryan Lynn leadoff triple and a Spencer Mitchell two run HR. Dave and Confused get 2 back in the top of the 2nd off of three singles and a Carl Ervin double. Demons plate 1 more off of three singles, including an RBI knock by Jimmy Roskos. DC plates another 2 in the top of the 3rd with three singles, a walk, and another Carl Ervin double. Demons’ bats go silent in the bottom of the 3rd, and DC breaks the levees open in the top of the 4th with an 8 spot. Four singles, three doubles, and a 3 run HR by ‘Mean’ Mark McKinney broke this game wide open. Demons score 3 more with four singles and an error pacing the offense. DC scores 1 off of three singles. Dugout Demons cannot muster a run in the 5th or 6th, while DC’s bats go quiet in the top of the 6th. The 7th inning was a different story for DC, however, as they drop another 8 spot in the top of the inning. Six singles, two walks, a double, a sac fly, and grand slam by ‘Mean’ Mark McKinney made this one 21-7 going into the bottom of the inning. Unfortunately, Demons could only muster 1 more run. Despite playing with 8 and taking six(!) automatic outs, Dave and Confused run away with the win, 21-8 final.

Player of the Game: Six-way tie between ‘Mean’ Marc Mckinney, Will Moyer, Carl Ervin, Jack McKinney, Byron McMackin and Kevin Noone. These stallions contributed the same number of outs as the automatic at the end of the lineup, hitting a blistering 27-33 (.818 avg), 17 singles, 8 doubles, 2 HRs, 2 BB, 17 RBI, and 15 Rs.



Dugout Demons vs. Wolfpack

Dugout Demons dust themselves off and score 1 in the top of the 1st off of a Sean Brennan double. Wolfpack play small ball and score 3 runs off of four singles, including a 2 RBI knock by Brendan ‘the Real’ McCoy, and a sac fly by Mike Bartasavich. Demons score 2 more off of three singles in the top of the 2nd, while Wolfpack go down 1-2-3. Demons plate 4 in the 3rd off of two 2 run HRs by Matt Grimm ‘Reaper’ and Jack Gramperi. Wolfpack get 2 back off of an RBI double by Mike Bartasavich to respond. Demons then go scoreless in the 4th and 5th, while only mustering 2 more runs in the top of the 6th. Unfortunately for them, the Wolfpack offense woke up, as they plated 17 runs over the same three innings. Nine singles, five doubles, two walks, and three HRs by Anthony Perretti (3-R), Brendan McCoy (2-R), and Mike Bartasavich (2-R), helped end this one in 6 innings. Wolfpack take it by a score of 22-9.

Player of the Game: Anthony Perretti, Wolfpack. Perretti went 3-3 on the day with two singles, a 3 run HR, a sac fly, and a walk. He was also good for 4 RBIs and 3 Rs.



Wolfpack vs. Palz Tap House

Big matchup in a battle of the undefeateds, although Palz was only able to field 8 men. Wolfpack takes advantage and scores 5 runs in the top of the 1st, highlighted by a Brendan ‘the Real’ McCoy 3 run HR. Palz score 2 runs in the bottom off of a single, double, walk and an error. Wolfpack get 2 more in the top of the 2nd with both runs coming off of another Brendan McCoy dinger. Palz goes down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 2nd, and Wolfpack makes them pay by adding another 4 in the top of the 3rd. A David Barth leadoff triple, and a 3 run HR by Anthony Perretti did the damage. Palz gets 3 runs back in the bottom of the inning off of four singles and a walk, but the automatic out stalls their momentum. Wolfpack goose egg the top of the 4th, and Palz get 1 off of a Pete Herbert sac fly. Doubles by Kenny Goodwin and Mike Bartasavich help plate 2 for Wolfpack in the 5th, and Palz go down 1-2-3. Wolfpack follow suit and go down 1-2-3 in the top of the 6th. Palz score 1 off of a Jordan Cohen leadoff triple in the bottom of the inning. Wolfpack add 3 more insurance runs in the top of the 7th off of three singles and a Kenny Goodwin double. Staring at a 9-run deficit, the undermanned Palz go down quietly. Wolfpack win the battle of the undefeateds, 16-7.

Player of the Game: Brendan ‘the Real’ McCoy, Wolfpack. McCoy had another solid showing at the plate, going 3-5, with two HRs, 5 RBIs, and 2 Rs.



Dirt Stars vs. Swingers

The offense flows early for both squads to start this game, with Dirt Stars putting up a 5 spot in the top of the 1st off of four singles, and two doubles, while Swingers score 4 of their own off of four singles and a Justin Coyle leadoff HR. Both squads score 1 in the top of the 2nd, and go scoreless in the 3rd. Dirt Stars hit back-to-back singles to start the 4th, but cannot plate a run. Swingers start swinging, dropping 8 runs to blow this game open. Six singles, a double, walk, and 3 run HR by Aidan Coyle did the damage for Swingers. Both teams go scoreless in the 5th, as Swingers hold on to a 13-6 lead. Dirt Stars score 4 in the top of the 6th, cutting the deficit to 3. Five singles, a walk, and a sac fly cut into the Swingers’ lead. Swingers score 2 more in the bottom of the 6th off of two singles, a walk, and a fielder's choice. Dirt Stars go into the top of the 7th down 5, but can’t score another run. Swingers take the W, 15-10.

Player of the Game: Aidan Coyle, Swingers. Aidan has been riding a hot streak the last two weeks, and it continued today, as he goes a perfect 4-4 with a HR, 4 RBI, and 2 Rs.
