B North 8/7
Game 1: One Hit Wonders v Docs Irish Pub
After a slow first inning, the Wonders exploded for 14 runs in the 2nd highlighted by a Jason Hammond double, a Paul Ferruzzi triple and a homer from captain and leader Jack Stepnowski. They would follow that up with 2 more in the 4th on walks and another bat around in the 5th inning, plating 6 in singles and a 3 run bomb from former leader off hitter turned middle of the lineup rake Jimmy Cooker.
Docs got their scoring going in the first as they plate a run of back to back extra base hits from the bash brothers Josh and Brett Keszczyk. After tacking on 3 more on singles in the 2nd, the 4th inning saw the bash brothers would once again get the party started but this time they included super slugger Dylan Brooks as all 3 smoked back to back to back doubles, and leadoff stud Austin Kooker crushed a 3 run homer capping an 8 run 4th inning unfortunately that was all the could muster in this one as they fall 22-12

Game 2: Docs v Purple Cobras

Sweet Swinging Dylan Brooks continued to t-off as he smoked a 2 run homer in the top of the first. After a quiet middle of the game Docs would light up the scoring column again in the 5th as Zach Tobash lasered a two run homer and now last hitter in the lineup, Austin Kooker, smoked a double leading to 4 runs. The 7th would see more of the same from these two monsters of the bottom as Tobash singles and the best last hitter on the team Austin Kooker cranked a homer to round out their scoring.
The Purple Cobras got off to a hot start as playboy Ty Allen launched a 3 run homer to give the Cobras the lead. Allen would once again use that sweet left handed swing to snack a two run shot in the 3rd. For good measure he would use all 3 Hatfield homers in this one as in the 7th Allen smoked a 3rd homer to help the Cobras make the game close but they would ultimately fall a bit short as they lose 8-7.

Game 3: Wire2Wire v Sunday Scaries
Wire2Wire went bananas in the first, scoring 12 runs in a bat around which was highlighted by a Bill Walker triple and homers from Gene Walczak and Greg “probably was oppo boppo” Guarino. After a quiet 2nd inning the podcasters would strike again for 5 runs by way of their 2nd grand slam of the game, this time by Jacob McDevitt. The running out of homers thing, stifled the boys in the 4th and 5th but McDevitt would smoke a 2 run double and score for the boys in the 6th and 2 runs would come across in a double from Matt Moore in the 7th to cap their scoring.
After a leadoff homer from Colin Kelly, the scaries offense got a little scary as they could not find another run until the 4th. In the bottom of the 4th singles from the top of the order would push across 2 much needed runs. They would follow that up with a huge 5 run 6th inning which saw doubles from Kris Karaba and Bobby Scholly sandwich a homer from sweet swinger Josh Pershing help score 5. Final score in this one, Podcasters 22 - Scaries 8

Game 4: Sunday Scaries v ATHNN
The Scaries would bounce back in a big way, scoring 2 in the first in singles, and 2 more in the 2nd on back to back doubles from Andrew Coates and Eric Podrost. In the 3rd the middle of the order sluggers went to work as Josh Pershing and Kris Karaba cranked back to back homers helping plate 3. Leadoff super slugger Colin Kelly would one up both in the 4th inning as he lasered a grand slam into the jungle beyond Hatfield’s fence. Running out of homer silenced the offense the rest of the way as they were only able to plate 2, both in the 7th inning, on singles.
ATHNN saw their hammer Eric Tidwell launch a 2 run homer in the first to knot the score. They would follow they up with 3 more in the 4th inning as Mr. Tidwell cranked his 2nd dinger of the game. After walks and errors plate 2 in the 5th, the offense would light up the scoreboard in the 7th to the tune of 7 more runs on 8 walks and 3 timely singles propelling them to a hard fought 14-13 win!
