Game #1 – Dugout Demons vs. Wackers

This game gets off to a slow start as Demons get two runs across the first three innings and that is it, Wackers don’t put up any. Those runs from Demons come on a solo bomb from Pat Kelly and an RBI single from Jake Haber. Wackers will get on the board in the fourth and tie this game up on a Dennis D RBI triple and an error. Demons will wake up and put up five runs in the fourth. Bill Shallcross had an RBI double, Jay Pane had an RBI single and Tom Koezler smashed a two run bomb while PK also knocked in a run on a double. Wackers respond in the fourth and fifth with six runs of their own. Alex F knocked in a run on a single and some walks and errors lead to more runs. Demons will bring their lead to 12-8 after another bomb, this time from Koezler, and his second bomb of the game. Krysta Wellington also added a run on a sac fly. Wackers start the comeback getting an RBI single from Pete, RBI single from Jess F and another on a fielder’s joice, bringing them to within one. But back to back outs would have Wackers fall just short. Demons win 12-11.

Game #2 – Wackers vs. Dugout Demons

Game 2 gets rolling with a six run first inning from Demons as they look to take the ship right out of the gate. Sean Nonemacher starts this game out perfect, with a solo bomb, then Koezler nets two more runs on a triple. Haber would round out the inning with a two run single. Wackers would come back with just one run in the bottom of the inning. And that would prove to be a problem in this one for Wackers. PK would strike in the fifth with a deep bomb into the woods for a two run shot followed by a two run single from Haber. This would then set up a massive sixth inning as Demons would bat around. Lauren Wood and Hannah Jimenez start the inning with an RBI single setting up a bomb of a homer from PK, yet again. A couple more runs will help to end this game early as they would win big and take this chip. Demons win 20-1.
