B North Playoffs

Game 1: Docs v Purple Cobras

Docs got on the board early as the bash brothers Josh and Brett Keszczyk combined to push across 3 runs on a triple and a single. They would extend their lead in the 2nd as stud leadoff man Austin Kooker crushed a two run homer. In weird fashion, the bats would go dead silent for the rest of the game until they are able to push another run across in the 7th inning on singles.

The Purple Cobras matched the early scoring of Docs as they also pushed across 3 runs in the first by way of a Mike Corrigan triple and a Jordan Roman double. They would follow that up by scoring 4 in the 2nd on five singles. The Cobras bats would also fall pray to the early morning sun as they did not score until the 6th inning when Ty Allen smoked a 2 rbi double and Jose Villa decimated the hopes and dreams of Docs with a 2 RBI triple helping to play 5 in the inning.

The Purple Cobras move onto the semi-finals winning 13-6.

Game 2: One Hit Wonders v ATHNN (semi-final 1)

The lettermen of ATHNN came out swinging as they plate 2 in the first on singles. They would follow that up with a massive 4 run 2nd inning highlighted by a Chris Quinn 3 RBI triple. The 4th inning would see another run cross via singles and the 5th another massive 4 run inning, headlined by a Dan Crips double. In the 7th, sweet swingin' Tommy O'Neal crushed a 2 RBI double, helping plate 3 more all important runs.

Jesse Grasso got things going for the Wonders as he doubled and scored in the bottom of the 1st. Home runs from bottom of the order studs CC Witt and Jason Hammer combined with another extra base hit for Mr. Grasso propelled the Dark Wonders to 5 runs in the 2nd inning. The Wonderfuls would add 4 more runs in the 3rd as the middle of the order did damage, highlighted by an Andy Springer triple and a double from Jimmy Cooker. Jesse Grasso stayed en fuego in the 4th inning as he hammered another 2 RBI double for the squad. Jason Hammer hammered the ball in the 5th inning plating 2 with his double and scoring himself. The Dark Wonders would cap their scoring for the day with two more runs this time by way of a Paul Ferruzi Jr. triple.

The One Hit Wonder Dark Horses head to the finals with a resounding 17 - 14 win.

Game 3: Purple Cobras v Wire 2 Wire (semi-final 2)

The Cobras got the party started early as they plate 2 on singles. They would follow up with a run in the 2nd inning as CJ Brancato walked and scored. Ty Allen lasered a doubled and scored on a 2 RBI triple from Pete Corrigan in the 3rd. After a quiet few innings the boys in Purple would score 2 more in the 6th on singles and a sac fly. They would finish their day going bananas as Dan Roman launched a triple, Ty Allen dingered and Cody Runner tripled, helping plate 4 runs and giving the Cobras a chance to tie the game but they would come up a little short in this one.

The Podcasters defended their title dropping 8 runs in the bottom of the first via a ton of singles and a monster grand slam from preppy Sean Butrica. They would follow that up with another outburst in the 4th as 4 runs score by way of singles, walks and a Bill Walker two bagger. Giving the podcasters just enough, the bottom of the order came through to smack singles and score 2 runs for the boys in white and blue.

Wire 2 Wire sneaks through by the skin of their teeth to defend their title 14-13
