The Misfits would post 14 in game one, but that’s just not enough to take out this juggernaut. Dan Benner hit 2 long balls, and a host of Misfits would draw walks. The machine known as the Cannoneers would see 12 of the 13 players score at least one run. They’d get homers from Dan Powell, Shawn Hines, and Brian Wrigley. Cannoneers win 23 - 14.

Game Two: Cannoneers @ Misfits
Randy Helsman would score in the first for the Misfits, and then they’d never see a lead in this one. An avalanche of runs fell on them in the 2nd, when the Cannoneers posted 10. This would indeed bury the ‘Fits, on their way to a lopsided finals series. This would end 17 - 4, with homers from Tom Banes, Shawn Hines, and Wilson Miller.
