Game #1 – Jive Turkeys vs. Altek

Jive Turkeys get rolling with a bomb by Nick Ambolino, a two run bomb deep into the woods. Altek will answer though getting a three run bomb, off the bat of Nick Cataldi. Scott Flaherty added another run on an RBI single. Altek get rolling again with three more runs on another Cataldi bomb. Turkeys start rolling in the third, pushing across nine runs. Nick Ambolino and Chris Warner knock in two runs apiece and Maggie Wunder knocks in a run on an RBI single. Kolton Wunder delivers the big blow with a three run bomb. Turkeys keep the pressure on in the fourth with three more runs. Homers continue to help them as they get a two run bomb from Andrew Fantaskey. Altek also grab some runs in the fifth. Scott Flaherty knocks in three with a bomb, but Altek start to wind down at the plate. They are able to plate 15 in this one, but will still fall short of Jive rejuvenated bats. Fantaskey had smashed another homer late in the game to seal it for Turkeys. Jive Turkeys win 22-15.

Game #2 – Jive Turkeys vs. Wehrung’s

Jive Turkeys get rolling right into their next game with five more runs. Nick Ambolino starts the scoring with a two run bomb and Brian Stein also grabs two runs with a bomb of his own. Wehrung’s get two runs back in the bottom of the inning with solo shots from Doug Moninghoff and Luke Hendricks. Wehrung’s get two more runs in the second, with a two run single from Wyatt Schilling. Jive take the lead again, with another big deal on this day. Fantaskey and John Konieczny knock in two runs on a doubles and Stein and Ferrel had RBI singles. Wehrung’s net four more runs with two more homers. Hendricks had another and Kyle Hendricks gets a two run bomb later in the inning. Wehrung’s would really cool down from there. Turkeys add a couple more runs over the next couple of innings as they will outlast their opponents and get two wins on the day. Jive Turkeys win 17-8.

Game #3 – The Maize vs. Muckdogs

The Maize come out strong with a four run first inning. Gary Kleinschmidt nets two runs on a homer and Sam Altmiller grabs two runs on a two run double. Maize grab four more runs in the second on a grand slam bomb off the bat of Aaron Worthington. Muckdogs are able to push one run across in the first three innings on a Mike Zahradnick RBI single. Jeff Hess and Zahradnick knock in runs with back to back doubles as they look to cut into the Maize lead. We head to the sixth where Muckdogs come all the way back and take the lead. Jeff Hess starts the scoring with an RBI double, followed by back to back RBI singles from Zahradnick and Bill Hamill. Tom Trumbower gives Muckdogs the lead with a two run single. Maize get one run back, but will fall short late. Muckdogs win 10-9.
