Week 5 - 10/7/22

Game 1: Smokin Bunts vs. Monsters & Menthols

SB takes the early lead with a run in the top of the first. Five runs cross the plate for MAM in the bottom of the first thanks to doubles by Sean Nonemacher and Jarrett Kerns, and a Bill Brancato RBI triple. TJ M blasts a solo homer for SB in the top of the second. Back to back doubles by Roc Akers and Sean Nonemacher net SB three runs in the bottom of the second. Sean Nonemacher and Jarrett Kerns smash back to back homers for MAM in the bottom of the fourth. MAM scores three runs in the bottom of the fifth with a triple by Jim Lalley, and a Bill Brancato RBI double. SB rallies for three runs in the top of the seventh. Monsters & Menthols downs Smokin Bunts, 16-6.

Game 2: Monsters & Menthols vs. Reap What You Sow

Brandon Birkhead jacks a two run homer for RWYS in the bottom of the first. MAM gets on the board in the top of the fourth with four runs thanks to a Bill Brancato two run triple. Sean Nonemacher smokes a two run triple for MAM as four runs come in for MAM in the top of the fifth. RWYS puts up five runs in the bottom of the sixth thanks to Chelsea Detweiler and Ryan C, and a Brandon Birkhead two run homer. RWYS rallies for four runs in the bottom of the seventh with a Scott Forsythe two run triple. Reap What You Sow walks it off over Monsters & Menthols, 11-10.

Game 3: No Show vs. Hagan’s Heroes

A leadoff double by Jesse F nets NS a run in the top of the first. Back to back doubles by Jay Muir and Chase Luxton nets two runs for HH in the bottom of the first. Cait F rips an RBI double for NS in the top of the third. Three runs come in for HH in the bottom of the third on doubles by Jay Pane and Wayne Horger, Jr, and a Ryan Goodman solo homer. HH bats around in the bottom of the fifth to score seven runs with triples by Chae Luxton and Gary Thompson. Jesse F jacks a solo homer for NS in the top of the sixth. Singles lead to five runs for HH in the bottom of the sixth. Hagan’s Heroes beats down No Show, 18-3.

Game 4: Man Bear Pigs vs. No Show

Dan Vescovi rips an RBI double for MBP in the top of the first. NS answers with four runs in the bottom of the first on doubles by CJ and Derek Strowhouer. MBP bats around in the top of the second to get nine runs on singles, doubles by Katie Cherba and Dan Vescovi, and a Chris three run homer. MBP bats around again in the top of the third to plate SEVENTEEN runs on doubles by Chirs, Jamie, Dan, and a three run triple by Brian. NS bats around in the bottom of the third to get TWELVE runs with doubles by Jesse and CJ, a Will two run triple, and a two run homer by Derek Strowhouer. Man Bear Pigs out slug No Show, 29-16.
