Game #1 – Eddies vs. Altek

Eddie’s gets on the board first with three runs out of Mike Marnoch and a two run single from Mark Smith. They will grab more in the fourth with a three run bomb off the bat of Brian Dart. Altek finally strike gold in the fifth getting four runs of their own. Bob Warner nets two runs on a single, followed by a Tony Luizza fielder’s choice and Shanon Flaherty RBI single. Mike Downey strikes back for Eddies with a solo bomb. Altek will bring it back in the seventh getting a three run bomb off the bat of Chad Solomon. Unfortunately, that is where there luck would stop as they fall short in this one. Eddies win 9-7.

Game #2 – Wehrung’s vs. Altek

Wehrung’s look for success in the second game of the day and get a run on a warning track power sac fly from Kyle Hendricks. A couple of batters later, Luke Hendricks does that better and smashes a two run bomb. Altek get two back in the bottom of the inning off a Kevin Cwikla RBI single and Adam Volpe sac fly. Altek will take the lead in the fourth on a Casey Mahron RBI triple and Chad Solomon two run bomb. Wehrung’s will quickly take that back on RBI singles from Alex Poniktera, Zach Rice and Bobby Snyder. Wehrung’s will cushion that lead in the sixth, with a RBI single from K. Hendricks and RBI double from Lowell Snyder. Altek head to the bottom of the seventh where they trail by five. Casey Mahron strikes first with a three run bomb. Chris Lento brings it closer with an RBI single which sets up a massive three run walk off bomb from Bob Wenner as they will steal this game. Altek wins 12-10.

Game #3 – Knuckleheads vs. Carroll’s

Knuckleheads get off on the right foot with a three run bomb from Jon Poore. They will score a couple more runs in the inning on some walks and a couple errors. Knuckleheads will grab three more runs across the third and fourth inning on a Mo Rodriguez RBI double and Chris Hackney RBI single. Carroll’s are able to net a couple on a two run single from Bill Shipe in the sixth, but they are really struggling at the plate in this one. Knuckleheads will put this one away with a six run seventh. Moe has another RBI, this time a two run double, followed by RBI singles from Poore, Jimmy Craig and John Schofield. Knuckleheads win 14-4.
