League veteran Keith Keppley has been on a tear in the Wednesday Open League. With 7 games played, Keith has 27 runs scored and 29 hits. With 2 runs scored tomorrow evening he breaks the men's runs league mark of 28. With 3 hits, he breaks the men's hits mark with 32. Good luck, Keith.

Keith managed to break the runs-scored record of 28, crossing the plate for the 29th time in the Wednesday Open league. Being this is an open league, the decision to overwrite the existing men's league runs-scored record or make this record an adjunct to the current men's league record has yet to be determined. Either way, it will stand as a record.

He's back!

Last season, Sean Nonemacher tied the men's league record for doubles in a single season with 14 while playing for Kings Corner in the Tuesday Men's league. His assault on the record continues this season. Playing for Hooligan's in the Thursday Men's league, Sean has 13 2-baggers with 2 games left to play. This is a 23-year old record he is about to obliterate. He will also shatter and extend the yearly doubles record of 54 which he currently owns. Sean has 51 doubles and we aren't even finished with the summer season. Nice job outta you, Mr. Nonny!

This past summer, playing for the Thursday Men's Hooligans squad, Sean Nonemacher completely demolished the men's league seasonal doubles record by hitting 17 2-baggers. The previous record of 14 was established 23 years ago by John Proietto (2000) and equalled by Sean in 2022.

In the yearly records department, this year Sean has already crushed his own doubles record of 54. He currently has 68 doubles and the fall season has just begun. Could we see 100 yearly 2Bs?

A no-hitter in slow-pitch softball is a very rare occurrence. I can vaguely remember a no-hitter years ago, but have no particulars on it. Last night in the Tuesday Men's league, Bill Shallcross tossed a no-no. He wasn't even aware of it until he was informed of the feat once the game ended. Congrats to Bill and the Wire2Wire Sports Podcast guys on defense that no doubt played a part.
