This year's Spring B-Division Wednesday Open Championship featured Doc's Irish Pub vs. Gabagools.

Game 1: Docs start out hot and score 5. Josh Keszczyk homers and brother Brett Keszczyk (I'm assuming they're related) doubles. Gabagools answer back with 2 in the 1st. Docs add 6 more in the 2nd. Dylan Brooks homers. Gabagools go down in order in the bottom of the 2nd. In the 3rd, Docs are quiet, but Gabagools add 2. Justin Ip doubles. Docs adds 2 to their lead when Matt Fronheiser blasts a 2-run shot over the fence in the top of the 4th. Gabagools answers back with 4 in the bottom of the 4th. Eddie Milisits, Jon Dobyan and Dave Shatzer all double, and Connor Burke blasts a 3-run homer. Hanging onto a 5 run lead, Docs can't plate any more runs in the final 3 innings. Gabagools take a 3 run lead in the bottom of the 5th with a hits parade. Milisits legs out his 2nd double of the game, and Jake Steinberg flies around the bases to get a double that would have probably been a single for any other human. Drew Stoney blasts a 3-run shot over the fence. Gabagools win game 1, 16-13.

Game 2: Gabagools get a leadoff solo shot from Tommy Salami. Docs answer back with 4 runs on 2 homers in the bottom of the 1st from Josh Keszczyk and Dylan Brooks. Gabagools plate 7 in the 2nd. triples come from Ajay Houston and Salami. Gabagools will add 3 more in the 3rd after Drew Stoney leads off with a double, while Docs gets 2 in the 3rd on Brooks' 2nd homer of the game. Matt Fronheiser doubles after him, but gets stranded. The 4th and 5th are relatively quiet for both teams, except for a single run for Docs. Score is tight at 11-7 after 5, favor of Gabagools, and then they add 4 more in the 6th with homers from Connor Burke and Jon Dobyan. Nick Geraghty doubles and scores. Docs goes down in order in the bottom of the 6th, and needing 8 to tie and 9 to win in the bottom of the 7th, They get 2 on but leave them stranded at the end. Gabagools win game 2 with a score of 15-7, and take home the Championship.

Congrats to Gabagools!
