B east playoffs

Web gems V wild fire

A very low scoring affair in this one. Web gems plated 2 in the fourth and that would be the entirety of their offensive output. It was 2-2 going into the 7th and wildfire would plate two thanks to a 2 RBI double by Josh torrez. Wild fire advances, 4-2.

Swingers V Philly’s Phinest
Colin Kelly would draw first blood in this one for swingers mashing a two run homer in the top of the second. Back to back to back doubles would follow giving swingers 4 total in the second. Philly’s Phinest would use patience at the plate and a keen eye as 5 walks and timely hits would plate them 8 in the 5th. Facing a 3 run deficit going in to the final half frame, swingers would again rally and fittingly walk it off on the second pair of back to back doubles by the Close bros. Swingers advances, 12-11.

Pitch please V Wild Fire
A defensive battle got a few timely big hits towards the end of the game. Down 3-2 in the bottom of 6, Anthony Amendolla will not let his team go down without a fight and launches a solo homer to tie it up. Not to be outdone, Jeff McMahon breaks the tie in the very next inning and launches a solo homer of his own which would be the deciding factor. Pitch please squeezes it out and advances to the championship, 4-3.

Bomb squad V swingers
Swingers would string a couple of singles together to plate one in the second. Bomb squad would answer back in the fourth with 6 runs, punctuated emphatically by a John McCabe grand slam. Colin Kelly tried to get swingers going in the sixth hitting a solo shot, but that grand slam would prove to be a knockout blow and bomb squad would advance to the championship, 7-2.
