Game #1 – Carroll’s vs. Jive Turkeys

Jive Turkeys strike first in this one grabbing five runs right out of the gate. Patrick Gallagher knocks in a run on a single, followed by a two run single from Maggie Wunder. Matt Stevenson rounds out the inning with an RBI triple. Carroll’s get on the board in the third, with RBI singles from Sarah Yoos and Bill Shipe. That ending up being a prelude to their fourt inning as they will grab five more runs. Mike Stacey grabs two runs on a single, while Shipe will add another run on a single. Turkeys would answer with six runs in the bottom of the inning, with six of their own. Erin Stevenson, Alex Fantasky and Cam Komonchak have back to back to back doubles netting them four runs. Matt Stevenson drives in the run on a triple. Turkeys would lock down defensively and prevent Carroll’s from grabbing any more runs. Jive Turkeys win 15-7.

Game #2 – Mott-ley Crew vs. Poco’s

Poco’s jump out to an early lead with a Bill Hamill RBI double and James Rundatz RBI triple. Bill Shipe will round out the inning with an Eric Shade RBI single as they lead 3-0. Crew will tie it in the bottom of the inning after a two run triple from CJ Motts and RBI single from Carl Motts. Crew will grab three runs across the second and third from an Anthony Rappossellli sac fly, Jon Motts RBI single and Carly Levin RBI single. CJ Motts knocks in two more runs on another triple in the fourth giving Crew a 9-3 lead. Corey Colby tries to hit Poco’s back into this one, with a two run bomb making this a 9-5 game. Back and forth we go for the next couple of innings. Crew’s runs are highlighted by a two run triple from Jonn Motts and RBI double from Rapposselli. Poco’s scoring is highlighted by Jeff Kulp and Eric Shade RBI doubles. Crew lead 18-13 as we head to the bottom of the seventh with the game on the line. Will Marsden will get Poco’s to within four, but that is where their run would end. Crew win 18-14.

Game #3 – Knuckleheads vs. Wackers

Mike Koezler gets the third game of the night started with an RBI single and a 1-0 lead. Wackers match that with a Bill Brancato RBI single, knocking in Mr. Doubles (Nonny) after yet another double. Tess Frelick nets Wackers another RBI on a Tess Frelick RBI single. Defense dominate this low scoring affair. Wackers will continue tacking on getting two more runs in the third on a Nonny RBI triple (not a double) and a Jay Pane sac fly. Alex Freeman goes yard for Wackers in the fourth making this a 5-1 game. Wackers will double their output in the fifth with a Nonny double, Pane single, Brancato triple and Freeman double. Knuckleheads will grab one more run in the sixth, but too much defense out of Wackers. Wackers win 10-2.

Game #4 – Wehrung’s vs. Wackers

Wackers come out firing in their second game of the doubleheader with seven runs. Brancato starts the scoring with an RBI double, followed by back to back RBI singles from Freeman and Shallcross. Frelick and Dennis D’Angelo round out the inning with back to back RBI doubles. Wehrung’s go down without any runs in the first inning, but grab seven across the second and third innings. Luke Hendricks nets a two run single and two run triple, while Adam Hendricks knocks in two runs on a single. Wackers respond in a massive way in the fourth. Nonemacher hit another triple, not a double, scoring two runs, while Vescovi knocked in a run on a double of his own. Wackers will keep their onslaught on late in the game grabbing four more runs in the sixth from a Pane two run double and Stead RBI single. Wehrung’s put up five runs late in the seventh, but will still fall in this one. Wackers win 20-13.
