Game #2 – Poco’s vs. Maize

Poco’s get their first run on an Eric Shade RBI double, setting up a later RBI single from Will Marsden. Poco’s will grab five more runs in the second on a Jeff Hess RBI single, two run single from Corey Colby and two run double from Marsden. They lead 9-0 heading into the bottom of the second when Maize grabs a run on an error. Maize will get six more runs in the third and fourth inning. Aaron Worthington and Gary Kleinschmidt had RBI triples, while Michelle Egitto had an RBI double. Tom Egitto adds a two run double in the fourth for Maize. Poco’s will grab five more runs in the fourth, largely in part to a Bill Hamill three run bomb. That will end up being enough for Poco’s as the six runs in the fifth and sixth will not be enough. Chrisitan Hazlett had an RBI triple, while Tom and Michelle Egitto both had an RBI each, but that will be it. Poco’s win 15-13.

Game #3 – The Runs vs. Maize

The runs come out shooting hot with eight runs across the first two innings. Amy Balash had an RBI single, followed by a Kyle Exner two run double. Steve Schnell, Rebecca Reilly, and Jade Hughes had RBI singles in the innings as well. Maize will find runs hard to come back in the one, only getting one run back on an Aaron Worthington RBI single. Runs will keep their momentum going in the third, batting around, and grabbing five more runs. Jason Exner and Matt Kovaleski smash back to back homers, while Steve Schnell add two runs on a double. Runs will keep the pressure on in this one as they grab another seven runs across the rest of the game. Amy Balash, Kyle Exner and Steve Schnell had back to back to back RBI singles as they will win this game easy. Runs win 20-6.

Game #4 – The Runs vs. Altek

The Runs look to continue their good day going and grab two runs right out of the gate. Jade Hughes and Kyle Exner grab RBI singles in the inning. Runs will grab three more runs in the second on back to back RBI singles from Jade Hughes and Jon Suchy to make this a 5-0 game. Altek get on the board in the third, thanks to RBI singles from Mike Maglio, Adam Volpe and Scott Flaherty. They will grab three more runs in the fourth with a Ryan Hensman and Flaherty RBI single as they will trail by two. Altek will bring this game to within one in the fifth, before Runs add four more runs and break the lead back to five. Matt Kovaleski brings in two with a triple in the inning. Altek will fight back with two runs in the sixth, grabbing runs on a Flaherty RBI triple and Ciarra C RBI single. Altek will grab two more runs in the seventh, but unfortunately fall just short.
