Game 1: 5th seed Team Marella vs 4th seed Beers
A re-match of last week's final game of the season has Team Marella out for revenge. They'll get on the board early with a leadoff single from Tyler Stone who goes on to score on Jimmy Wiegers RBI single. Beers takes the lead in the bottom of the 1st with a bunch of singles and a Chris Anhalt triple. Team Marella ties it back up in the top of the 2nd, scoring 3 on Steve Gebre's bases clearing 3-RBI triple. Beers retake the lead with 2 in the bottom of the 2nd. Ryan Maley doubles. Team Marella goes quiet for the rest of the game and doesn't score again. Meanwhile, Beers also seem unable to score until the 6th where they get 1 across. Down 2 and facing elimination, Team Marella gets a runner on with just 1 out, but strand him. Beers win a very close game, 7-4 and move on to the 9PM game to face the #1 seed.

Game 2: 6th seed Wire2Wire Sports Podcast vs. 3rd seed The Commission dba Silly Boys
Wire2wire start off with a leadoff double from Greg Guarino, and they score 2 in the inning. Commish answers back with 4. Tom Koezler doubles. Wire2Wire get hot in the 2nd and bat around. They'll score 9 in the inning on doubles from Tom Signore and Gene Walczak, and a triple from Brando Bozek. Wire2Wire has a 12-4 lead and is looking at an upset if they can keep Commish batters in check. Commish struggles to get baserunners in the rest of this game. They get a double from Rob Lyons and a triple from CJ Mott in the 2nd thru the 7th, but can only score one more run. Wire2Wire also struggles to get baserunners, and gets just a couple more runs in the 5th on Signore's 2 run homer. Wire2Wire wins, 16-5 and moves on to the 10:15 game to face the #2 seed.

Game 3: 4th seed Beers vs 1st seed Kings Corner
Beers see the previous game's upset and hope for one of their own in this game. They score 2 early after Connor MacFarlane triples and scores. King's Corner gets a couple on in the 1st but strands them. Beers are quiet in the 2nd, but King's Corner gets on the board with a run after Chris Lansberry doubles and scores. Beers get a couple runners on in the 3rd but strand them, while Kings Corner takes the lead in the bottom of the 3rd. Sean Nonnemacher doubles and scores on Mike Capacchione 2 run homer. Beers retake the lead in the top of the 4th by scoring 5. Chris Anhalt triples and Tim Coleman homers. Kings Corner has no answer in the 4th. In the 5th, Scott Runzer blast a 3-run homer and Scott Gerhart triples, and Beers widens their lead to 11-3. Kings Corner goes quiet for the rest of the game and get just 2 men on in the final 3 innings. Beers upset the number 1 seed 11-3 and move on to the Chip next week.

Game 4: 6th seed Wire2Wire Sports Podcast vs. 2nd seed Philly Junk

Hoping for the 3rd upset of the night, Wire2Wire takes an early lead in the 1st by scoring 4 runs. Gene Walczak doubles. Philly Junk answers back with Jason Ashworth tripling and scoring. Wire2Wire adds 3 more in the 2nd, with Brett Anker doubling. Philly Junk doesn't score in the bottom of the 2nd or 3rd, but gets 4 across in the 4th. Jason Ashworth triples and both Brandon Birkhead and Pat Kelley homer. Wire2Wire is quiet in the 3rd and 4th, but add 3 to their lead in the 5th. Greg Guarino triples. Score is 10-5 after 5. In the bottom of the 6th, Philly Junk tighten the lead to just 2. Kelley homers again and Eddie Decker triples. In the top of the 7th, Wire2Wire get 5 insurance runs and take a 15-8 lead. Tom Signore triples. In the bottom of the 7th, needing 7 to tie and 8 to win, Ryan Hable starts off the inning with a triple. The next batter flies out, and then Tom Rider scores Habel with a sac fly. down to their last out and needing 6 more runs to tie, Edwin Padua gets on with a single, Jason Ashworth doubles, Shane Hanna doubles, and Brandon Birkhead blasts a 2-run homer. Now needing just 2 runs to tie, Pat Kelley smacks a double and brings the tying run to the plate. Fortunately for Wire2Wire, Philly Junk strands Kelley at 2nd base and Wire2Wire holds on to upset Philly Junk, 15-13, and move on to the Chip next week.
