Game #1 – Wackers vs. The Runs

Wackers come out with a four run inning out of the gate. Dan Vescovi starts the scoring with a two run double, followed by back to back RBI singles from Dennis D’Angelo and Mandi Sheehan. Emily Polcino also adds an RBI on a sac fly. After shutting down Runs in the bottom of the inning, Wackers get back to scoring in the second with three more runs. Dennis D’Angelo knocked in two runs with a two run bomb. Altek will get on the board in the third, with Adam hitting in two on a double and an error. Wackers don’t wait long before they explode again, this time for 14 runs in the bottom of the third. Becky Yerk and Jay Pane start the scoring with back to back singles before Rich Stead knocks in two with a single. Pane later adds two runs on a double before Vescovi delivers a massive three run bomb rounding out the scoring in the inning. In the end, this game is all Wackers as they will win this one early. Wackers win 21-3.

Game #2 – Altek vs. Mott-Ley Crew

Crew will jump out to an early 5-1 lead after a CJ Motts three run bomb and Justin Ruth two run single. Crew will add to their lead in the second inning getting six more runs, from a Carly Levin two run single and yet again another three run bomb from CJ Motts. Altek dig deep and grab four runs in the top of the third, off of an Adam two run double and some errors. Crew will step up again for another six runs. Ian Kacergis knocks in two runs with a double, but this inning was dominated by homers with back to back to back homers. CJ Motts went deep first with a two run bomb (slacking), followed by back to back solo shots from Anthony Rapposselli and Tom Finn. Crew will put this game away in the fourth as Crew find the long ball again, this time from Kacergis. Crew are all over Altek in this one and will win easy. Crew win 22-6.

Game #3 – Carroll’s vs. Knuckleheads

The last game of the night gets rolling with an RBI single from Greg Lesher followed by a two run triple from Kevin Shinkunas. Knuckleheads get two back in the bottom of the inning with an RBI single from Jose Rodriguez and RBI double from Jay Pane. Carroll’s have a big third inning as they push nine runs across. Allie Theis started the scoring with an RBI single, followed by back to back RBI singles from John Zeits and Sarah Yoos. Lesher rounds out the inning with a two run triple. Knuckleheads will fight back for four runs in the fourth. The inning was paced by homers as Jon Poore smashes a two run bomb as well as Jay Pane. Carroll’s wait and have a big fifth inning as they drive in six. Lesher was big again, with a three run bomb, but Bill Shipe also got into the action with a solo bomb of his own. Carroll’s will tack on some insurance runs late as they will win this game easy. Carroll’s win 22-7.
