Game #1 – Mott-Ley vs. Eddies

The first game gets rolling with an RBI double from Brady Mengal, followed by an Ian Kacergis RBI triple and then Kaelyn Motts RBI single as they take an early 4-0 in this game to determine who makes the ship. Eddies will get their answer in the second with an RBI double from Tony Oliver which cuts the lead in half. Crew get back to work in the third inning grabbing three more runs. CJ Motts starts it with an RBI triple, followed by a RBI double from Brady Mengal and RBI single from Kacergis. Crew really grab a hold of this game in the fifth, as Jon Motts clears the bases with a triple and Mengal delivering a two run bomb. In the end, Eddies don’t bring too much fight in this one and will fall. Crew win 18-4.

Game #2 – Knuckleheads vs. Wackers


Knuckleheads get our second game started to decide who will play Crew in the championship next week. Steph Farrah will deliver the first run on an RBI single as Knuckleheads take the lead early. Wackers respond with a four run first inning. Banana Hanna knocks in Doubles Nonny to tie the game, before Alex Freeman knocks in two with a two run triple. Jay Pane also adds a run on a fielder’s choice. Defense dominates the next two innings before Jose Rodriguez smashes a solo bomb to cut the lead to two. Hanna sparks the bottom of the inning drawing a walk, before Billy Brancato knocks him in with a triple. Lissa Tercha then nets Wackers one more run on a single. Knuckleheads fight back again and will get those three runs back, with RBI’s from Mike Koelzer and Rodriguez. Looking for some insurance runs, doubles Nonny morphs into Homers Nonny as he hits a solo shot. Tercha will add two more runs on a single as they will close Knuckleheads out and head to the ship. Wackers win 10-7.

Game #3 – Altek vs. Carroll’s

Now that the A Championship has been decided, we need to figure out who will be playing in the B Championship. Carroll’s will come out sizzling, grabbing seven runs right out of the gate. Greg Lesher starts the scoring with a two run triple, followed by a Bryan Bart RBI single. Lesher will be back at it again in the second with his third and fourth RBI’s of the game, this time on a single. Altek grab their first runs in the fifth, from an Adam Volpe RBI double and Kevin Cwikla massive grand slam. Carroll’s continue to roll thought again, grabbing seven runs across the third and fourth innings. Kevin Shinkunas delivered the big shot with a three run triple. Altek grab four runs in the fifth, again sparked by Cwikla, with two more RBI’s. Ryan Hensman also adds an RBI double to round out the inning. Altek will only be able to scrap one more run on a sac fly from Cwikla, but that is all in this one as they will fall. Carrolls will win and move on to the next round. Carroll’s win 16-10.

Greg Lesher (Carroll’s) – 2/4, 3B, 4 RBI’s



Game #4 – Carroll’s vs. Wehrung’s

Carroll’s are looking for their birth to a championship next week and come firing. Carroll’s bat around and get eight runs in total. Lesher will continue his good day with an RBI single followed by a two run triple from Bill Shipe. Bob McClintock also adds an RBI triple in the inning. Wehrung’s will get three runs back in the bottom of the inning. Steph Hines had an RBI single and Luke Hendricks had a two run bomb. Both teams would grab two runs in the third, before Carroll’s have another big inning in the fourth. Shinkunas delivered two more RBI’s with a double, while Lesher added another RBI on a triple. Carroll’s will keep on the offensive as they score every inning down for the rest of the game. McClintock add a late RBI double as they cruise past Wehrung’s and into the chip next week. Carroll’s win 24-11.
