Game One: American Legion @ Only Fans
Subscriptions to Only Fans might take a dip after this one. Richie Zupkusky ripped a solo shot, but that would be the only run production on the night for Only Fans. Meanwhile, in 5 innings of work, the reigning, defending champs racked up 16 runs. Dan Powell, Brian Wrigley, and Shawn Hines all homered. Jordan Valenteen would score 3 times.
Game Two: Disciples @ Balls Deep
This one wouldn’t even last as long as the Only Fans debacle. After 4 innings, Balls Deep stacked up 22 runs in 4 innings. The first 5 batters would all go 3 for 3, with 3 runs scored. Tim Frei homered twice and Bob Stanley hit a bomb into outer space. The Disciples would post 2 runs in the first, and nothing after.
Game Three: The Yard @ The Generals
Another not close game to cap the night. The Generals would put some runs up, totaling 11. But the Yard was on one and would cross the plate 28 times. The Generals got a homer from Chris Forester and 3 runs from Aaron Villano and Andy Wilson. The Yard went nuclear -0 Ranyd Helsman scored 4 times, as did Mo Rodriguez, Mike Koelzer, and Mike Shutt. Jonny Poore hit a dinger, along with John Kiefer.
***Shout out to scorekeeper, Fern. In the words of S. Carter, “A wise man told me don't argue with fools. Cause people from a distance can't tell who is who.”
