Game #1 – Eddie’s in the Outfield vs. Poco’s

Eddies will jump out with two runs in the first two innings on a Brian Dart sac fly and Mark Smith fielder’s choice. Poco’s grab three runs across the first two innings with a RBI triple from Brett Anker, RBI single from Bill Hammel and RBI single from Eric Schade. Tony Cabot adds a two run bomb in the third as they take their lead up to three. Poco’s add five more runs in the fifth on a Schade two run triple, RBI single from Ryan Hamilton and sac fly from Rick Smith. Poco’s add some insurance runs in the sixth on a two run double from Hamilton and two run single from Bri Eve. Eddie’s grab five runs back in the seventh, but it is too little too late. Poco’s win 14-7.

Player of the Game:
Tony Cabot (Poco’s) – 3/4, HR, 2 RBI’s



Game #2 – Knuckleheads vs. Mott-ley Crew

Knuckleheads grab five runs out of the gate with a solo bomb from Jesse Fallar, RBI triple from Matt Bookheimer, RBI single from Jon Poore and then two run bomb from Rich Zupkusky. Crew will respond in the third with a three run inning of their own. Jon Motts and Tom Finn had RBI singles, while Brady Mengel added a three run bomb. Katie Cherba nets two more runs on a triple for Knuckleheads as they take the lead again. We fast forward to the seventh inning, where all of the action takes place. Knuckleheads start it with five runs. Steph Farrar and John Schofield have RBI singles, while Rich Zupkusky knocks in two with a single. Crew trail 14-6 heading into the bottom of the inning. Crew will get rolling, grabbing back to back RBI singles on a Motts and Finn single and Brady Mengel blasts a three run homer. Unfortunately for them, they would get all the way back and fall by one. Knuckleheads will sneak by and win 14-13.

Game #3 – Wackers vs. Wehrung’s

Wackers come out rolling with eight runs across the first two innings. Doubles Nonny starts it again, with a leadoff double who is then knocked in by a Bill Brancato fielder’s choice. Adam Lightkep then knocks in a run on a single before Lissa Tercha knocks in two with a triple. Lightkep would add two more runs on a single in the following inning when somehow Doubles Nonny flew out. Wehrung’s grab one run on a Steph Hines RBI single, but runs would prove to be hard to come by in this one for them. Wackers get back to doing their thing, with another double from Nonny, along with a solo bomb from Kerns as they increase their lead to 9-1. Wehrung’s will grab three runs back in the fourth, with an Adam Hendricks RBI single and a couple errors, but that is where the scoring would stop for them. Defense and timely hitting would shut this one down for Wackers, as they will win this one easy. Wackers win 11-4.

Game #4 – The Runs vs. Mean Machine

The final game of the night really gets going in the third, when the game stands at 2-1 Mean Machine heading into it. Runs will grab eight runs and take a 9-2 lead in the inning. Kyle Exner gets the scoring started with an RBI triple, followed by RBI singles from Any Balasch and Steve Schnell as well as an RBI double from Maddie Leatherborrow. Rebecca Brennan also adds a run on a sac fly. Mean Machine also have a big inning, grabbing seven runs thanks RBI singles from Michael Senick, Roy Ducko and Eric Redner as well as a RBI triple from Sam Phun. Both teams would grab two runs across the next two innings. Runs grab runs on a RBI single from Brennan and Nick Perricone single. Harrison Leal and Sam Phun will get runs for Mean Machine. This game becomes who can grab more runs late in the game to take it. That ends up being Runs as they put up five runs in the sixth. Matt Kovalesky and Steve Schnell have RBI singles while Brennan, finishing out a big game, knocks in a run on a triple. Runs win 16-12.
