Game #1 – Altek vs. Knuckleheads

Altek get rolling early with three runs out of the gate. Kevin Cwikla grabs the first runs on a two run double, followed by a RBI single from Mike Maglio. Knuckleheads grab four runs back in the second inning on a John Kiefer RBI walk, followed by a two run sac fly from Ben Razzi. Knuckleheads keep it rolling with a three run third, from a Jose Rodriguez RBI double and John Poore two run bomb. In the fourth, Knuckleheads grab two more runs on a Kiefer and Burns RBI singles. Knuckleheads will put this one away in the fifth with five more runs. Zupkusky had a RBI triple, while Bookerheimer and Kiefer add runs on singles. Altek add one run late, but will lose in this one. Knuckleheads win 14-4.

Player of the Game:
John Poore (Knuckleheads) – 2/2, HR, 3 RBI’s


Game #2 – Wackers vs. The Runs

Wackers come out strong in this one getting three straight doubles, from Doubles Nonny, Jarrett Kerns and Billy Brancato netting them two runs. Alex Freeman then knocks in a run on an RBI triple before an RBI from an Adam Lightkep single. Jay Pane adds an RBI triple later in the inning. Kyle Eyner answers back for Runs in the bottom of the inning with an RBI single. Wackers come right back again in the second with 10 more runs. Doubles Nonny starts with an RBI double before Kerns steps up a batter later to do the same thing. Freeman knocks in a run on a double before Lightkep smashes a two run bomb. Tess Frelick rounds out the inning with an RBI single as they lead 16-1. This game is all Wackers as they put up another six in the third and will end this one early. Nonny, Kerns, Brancato, Freeman and Frelick all had doubles in the inning as they coast. Wacker’s win 22-3.

Game #3 – Maize vs. Mott-Ley Crew

Crew was watching Wackers in the first game and became insprired jumping out to an early 13-0 lead after sending 18 batters to the plate in the first inning. Brady Mengel got the party started with a two run bomb, followed later by a two run triple from Alex Lilly. Carly Levin, Greg Reilly, Jon Motts, Megel and Kaeyln Motts all have RBI singles in the inning. Crew grab two more in the second before Maize gets on the board in the third. Maize will grab three runs on 3 straight RBI singles from Wil Dos, Christian Hazlett and Will Marsden. Like the last game, this one is going to end early as Crew continue to stay hot at the plate. Mengel will add another RBI on a double, while Ian Kacergis, Tom Finn and Alex Lilly all have RBI’s on singles. Crew win 20-5

Game #4 – Blue Devils vs. Poco’s

The final game of the night gets rolling with an Eric Shade RBI single, followed by two more RBI singles from Rick Smith and Jeff Hess. Neither team would score in the second before Poco’s get rolling again in the third. Ryan Hamilton, Jeff Hess and Corey Colby smash RBI singles, while Tony Cabot knocks in a run on an RBI double. Blue Devils will get into the game in the fourth grabbing three runs. Shane Mulvihill grabs two runs on a two run double, while Andy Yurkanion adds one run on an RBI single. Poco’s feel the pressure and respond right away with 10 runs in the bottom of the inning. Colby and Lauren Degrushe have sac flies, while Jamie Richards and Rick Smith knock in runs on singles. Shade was back at it with a two run double while Cabot and Hamilton provided the long ball with homers. This one is all Poco’s as they will take this one easy. Poco’s win 19-4.
