Webb Gems VS Philly’s Phinest
Webb Gems starts off with a bang in the top of the first to kick off the playoff action. Anthony Izzi launches a 3 run home run and gives Webb Gems the early lead. Philly’s Phinest nearly duplicates the result, with Mike Rocks Jr hitting a 2 Run Home Run. After 1, its 3-2 Webb Gems. Philly’s Phinest shows off the glovework and holds Webb Gems scoreless in the top of the second and capitalizes with 4 of their own in the bottom. Domenic Rocks has an RBI single before Scott Vogelman knocks two in with an RBI double and Mike Rocks SR knocks Scott in with an RBI double of his own. Philly’s Phinest continues the great defense, holding Webb Gems to just two singles in the 3rd. Webb Gems gets Philly’s Phinest to go 1-2-3 in the third to keep it close. With an opportunity to close the lead, Webb Gems isn’t able to capitalize, batting 5 in the inning and scoring no runs. Philly’s Phinest lead the bottom of the 4th off with back to back to back singles to load the bases and then Nick Quartullo draws an RBI walk. Domenic Rocks and Scott Vogelman each have a Sac Fly RBI and Philly’s Phinest extends the lead by 3 in the 4th. Webb Gems is able to get one back in the fifth off an RBI double from Anthony Izzi, but Philly’s Phinest comes right back, with Mike Rocks JR’s second home run of the day and an 2 RBI double from Nick Trude. Webb Gems aren’t able to muster much in the next two innings, collecting only one base hit, and Philly’s Phinest adds to their comfortable lead with an RBI Double from Mike Rocks Sr to take the first round playoff game.

Felix’s Fellas VS Balls Deep
Angel Alicia starts the scoring off for Felix’s Fellas with a solo shot and that is the only run of the first inning for both teams. In the top of the second, Felix’s Fellas only muster a single before Balls Deep creates some runs of their own. Balls deep scores 6 runs off 1 single, a sac fly, and 7 walks. In the top of the 3rd Felix’s Fellas is held scoreless and strands 3 runners on. Balls Deep gets a solo Home Run from Nick Carl to extend the lead. Felix’s Fellas gets 3 runs in the top of the 4th, with a big double from Rob Gonzalez and RBI single from Sam Matos. They hold Balls Deep scoreless in the bottom of the 4th. Going into the top of the fifth, Balls Deep leading 7-4, Felix’s Fellas comes alive. They score 8 runs, with Angel Alicia hitting a 3-run home run and batting 13 in the inning. Balls Deep cant respond in the bottom of the the fifth and Felix’s Fellas adds another run in the top of the sixth to lead 13-7 going into the bottom of the 6th. Balls Deep makes it interesting with the second batter of the inning when Will Schulz hits a 2 run Home Run and then Tommy Gallo hits a 2 RBI double to cut the lead down to only 2 runs. In the top of the seventh Sam Matos does his job as the tenth batter and turns the lineup over with a single, but leadoff hitter Brian Blomgren hits into a Fielders Choice and both Dave Rodriguez and Angel Alicia fly out to left field. The bottom of the seventh brings Balls Deep their last chance at continuing their season, down by 2. Matt Crane turns the lineup over with a single and Trevor Harris gets on, bringing the winning run up with Casey Condron. Casey grounds into a fielders choice but avoids the double play to keep two runners on. Tim Frei flies out to left center before Tim Gluck gets up and drives a game tying double into the outfield. With Tim Gluck on 2nd and two outs, Nick Carl draws a walk to create a force and Will Schulz steps up to the plate. With runners at 1st and 2nd and two outs Will drives a single into the outfield to score Tim Gluck and Balls Deep walks this one off to advance.

Philly’s Phinest VS Swingers
In the first semifinal game, Philly’s Phinest opens up with 4 runs, starting the game with 3 walks and then getting 3 singles and a Sac Fly. Swingers only manage a single in the first inning and Philly’s Phinest goes into the second with a 4-0 lead. Philly’s Phinest only bats three in the second and Swingers drives one in off an RBI double from Matt Bachmann. In the third Mike Rocks Jr is just like Mike Rocks Sr as they both draw walks before Ray Rocks knocks one in with an RBI double and Shawn Dunn gets another RBI with a sac fly. Swingers go down 1-2-3 and we go into the 4th Philly’s Phinest leading 6-1. Philly’s Phinest adds two more with Scott Vogelman knocking in an RBI single and Domenic Rocks scoring on an error. Swingers make it more interesting with 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth, with an RBI double from Biran Close and RBI single from Dale Hoover. Philly’s Phinest only gets a single in the fifth and Swingers give themselves a chance by adding one more, with an RBI single from Zack Nikander after a triple from Dion Greene. Philly’s Phinest gets two runners on before two ground outs and we go into the bottom of the sixth Philly’s Phinest leading 8-5. In the bottom of the sixth, Kevin Wientrout leads off with a single before Matt Close hits a two run Home Run. Collin Kelly follows with a single and then Brian Close hits a double. Chris Clewell knocks in one with a sac fly and then Dale Hoover knocks another in with an RBI single. Brian Hoover adds a single of his own and Ben Razzi hits an RBI double. Swingers leaves runners on second and third, but score 5 in the inning to take a 10-8 lead. In the top of the 7th Mike Rocks Jr leads off with a single but Tony Summers grounds into a fielders choice. Ray Rocks hits a dounle to score Mike Rocks Jr but then is thrown out at 3rd after a great play from the catcher and they are left with two outs. Nick Trudel flies out to the shortstop and Philly’s Phinest falls just short.
Swingers win 10-9
Player of the Game: Matt Close, 1-2, Home Run, Walk, 2 RBIs, two runs scored

Balls Deep VS WildFire
Balls Deep starts the second semifinal off strong, with a two run home run from Tim Frei to take the early lead. Wild Fire isn’t able to muster any runs after a leadoff double from Vince Ceriale and we end the first with balls deep up 2-0. Balls Deep adds one more after Jayden Hurrey’s leadoff triple and Tommy Gallo knocks him in with an RBI single. Wild Fire ties the game up in the bottom of the second, with Bruce Davis scoring on an error and then Chris Smith and Vince Ceriale getting RBI singles. In the third Casey Condrom leads off with a single and is knocked in by Nick Carl’s RBI single to retake the lead before Eric Simonait ties it right back up for Wild Fire with a solo shot. In the top of the 4th Balls Deep takes the lead again with an RBI single from Trevor Harris. Wild Fire is held scoreless, getting only a walk. Both teams are held scoreless in the 5th but then Balls Deep adds one more run after back to back doubles from Derek Benner and Tommy Gallo, Gallo knocking Benner in. Wild Fire is able to tie the game up in the bottom of the sixth, with a 2 RBI single from Jim Catanzaro with two outs. We go to the top of the 7th, all tied up and a championship birth on the line. Nick Carl leads Balls Deep off with a big double before Will Schulz, 3-3 on the day, is pitched around and draws the walk. Mike Gallo steps up, 0-3 on the day with three flyouts to right center. He gets a hold of this one though and sends it into the trees of Hatfield for a 3 run Home Run. Balls Deep, after winning their first playoff game in a walkoff, retakes the lead again in the top of the seventh. Wild Fire has a chance though, and Chris Smith is patient at the plate and draws a walk to lead the inning off. Vince Ceriale flies out to right field before Rob Philippi gets a single. With two runners on, Wild Fire is unable to collect with their 3 and 4 hitters up and fall short to end their season.
