Game #1 – Pancake Batters vs. Carroll’s

Carroll’s get rolling with three runs in the first. Greg Lesher knocks in one on a single, while John Zeits and Allie Theis knock in runs on fielder’s choice. Pancake Batter’s will grab their first run in the second with an RBI single from Jordan Stokes. Carroll’s will get shut down in the second inning, but get back to it in the third, with three more runs. Lesher and Bill Shipe have back to back RBI singles, while Zeits has an RBI single. Pancake Batter’s will struggle at the plate in this one and won’t grab any more runs until the fifth when they grab two more. Alex Brown had the big hit with a two run single. Carroll’s will match that and get those two runs back with a sac fly from Hallie Bilker and RBI single from Steve DiGiovanni. Batters grab two more more runs late, but that is all they can muster up in this one and will fall. Carroll’s win 8-5.

Player of the Game:
Greg Lesher (Carroll’s) – 2/3, 2B, 2 RBI’s

Game #2 – Wehrung’s vs. Mean Machine

Wehrung’s come out of the gate swinging the bats hot, almost batting around. Dave Nagle starts the scoring with a two run double followed by RBI singles from Jill Monninghoff and Cindy Snyder. Mean Machine will go down in the bottom of the inning without any runs, a theme that they would unfortunately follow throughout the game. Wehrung’s are also silent in the second and third innings and won’t score again until the fourth. They would grab one run on an error after a Wyatt Schilling double. Wehrung’s would really get going and take advantage in the fifth, exploding for ten runs. Nagle would continue his hot hitting with a solo bomb and RBI single, while Schilling and Bobby Snyder add RBI doubles. Erik Senderling would round out the inning with a two run triple. Wehrung’s run away late with this game. Wehrung’s win 15-0.

Player of the Game:
Dave Nagle (Wehrung’s) – 4/4, 2B, HR, 4 RBI’s

Game #3 – Blue Devils vs. Hattrick’s

Last game of the nights gets started fast as Devils throw up a 9 spot in the top of the first inning. The inning is highlighted by RBI singles from Chuck Mastrangelo and Andy Harkanim as well as a grand slam from Greg Rosato. Hattricks will respond and cut that in half grabbing four runs of their own. Zac Talmadge starts their scoring with a two run bomb, followed by RBI singles from Eric Stalford and Eric Rosenblum. Devils will respond back with three more runs on an RBI single from Harkanim and two run single from John Yentich. Hattricks will come all the way back in the second to take a one run lead. Janice Tansits and Paul Hensler knock in runs on back to back singles, before Talmadge brings in two on a double. The next batter, Ed Reynolds, then knocks in two runs on a triple. Stalford will round out the inning smashing a two run homer. Hattricks will take the lead and never look back. Devils will add three runs in the fifth, but Hattricks will grab seven in the bottom of the inning. Stalford will go deep, with yet again a two run homer, followed by RBI singles from Rosenblum and Hensler. So many runs in this game has this game see an early end with Hattricks on top. Hattricks win 24-15.
