This year's B League Fall Wednesday Open Championships has Did We Win going against Mayhem.
Game 1:
Did We Win starts off quickly with a 3 run homer from Sean Pena. Mayhem answers back with 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st. Derrick Strowhouer blasts a 3 run bomb. In the 2nd, Jon Fine triples and scores for Did We WIn, and Casey Condron pops a 3-run homer for Mayhem. Score is 8-4 after 2. Did We Win gets one on but can't score in the 3rd, while Mayhem plates 6, including a 3 run shot from Brandon Brittingham and a double from Strowhauer. Did We win gets back in the game with 5 runs in the top of the 4th. Andrew Burgher and Bill Coles both triple and Jon Fine rips a 2-run homer over the fence. Mayhem busts out 8 runs in the bottom of the 4th to take a 22-9 lead. Strowhouer doubles and knocks in 2. Did We win fails to score in the final 2 innings, and Mayhem puts up 3, so game one of this best of 3 ends with a Mayhem win, 24-9.
Game 2:
Mayhem starts out game 2 by plating 5 in the 1st. Tim Hearns and Tom Hayes both double. Did We Win gets 4 in the bottom after Steve Kodluk rips a 3-run homer over the fence. Mayhem extends their lead with 4 in the 3nd. Derrick Strowhauer doubles. Did We Win gets 2 back in the bottom of the 2nd. Andrew Burgher doubles. Both teams go down in order in the 3rd, and then Mayhem plates 3 in the 4th with back-to-back doubles from Strowhauer and Shawn Arborgast. Did We Win goes quiet until the 6th, when Keith Halili doubles and knocks in a run. Meanwhile, Mayhem had put up 4 in the top of the 6th. with Brandon Brittingham knocking in 2 with a double and Tim Hearns doubling and scoring. They'll add 1 more in the top of the 7th. After Buddy Schwartz was perfect at the plate going 4 for 4, he goes into closer mode in the bottom of the 7th and shuts down Did We Win. Mayhem takes game 2 with a score of 17-7, and the Fall Championship!
