Game #1 – Knuckleheads vs. Wackers[/b]

Knuckleheads come out and grab an early lead with a Jon Poore and John Schofield RBI singles. Wackers will fight back in the bottom of the inning with six runs of their own. Jarret Kerns knocks in a run on a single while Alex Freeman knocks in two runs with a double. Lissa Tercha and Bill Shallcross also have RBI singles in the inning. Wackers get right back to work in the second with five more runs. Emily Policinio starts it with an RBI single followed by a Kerns RBI single and Freeman two run bomb. Knuckleheads go quiet until the fourth when Ben Razzi knocks in a run on a sac fly. Wackers will answer ad get another run in the bottom of the inning on a Kerns RBI double and Bill Brancato RBI single. Those runs would be the last of the game for Wackers. Here come Knucklheads grabbing a couple runs and then three in the seventh on a Jose Rodriguez RBI double and Jon Poore RBI double. It would not be enough as they will fall in this one as Wackers take game 1. Wacker win 13-8.

Game #2 – Wackers vs. Knuckleheads

Knuckleheads kick off this cold game 2 coming out with two runs on a Jose Rodriguez RBI triple and Poore sac fly. Knuckleheads would add one more on a fielder’s choice from Jamie Burns before Wackers fight back in the third to tie the game up. Wackers grab their runs on a Jay Pane RBI single, Dan Vescovi RBI single and Shallcross RBI single. Wackers would really open up a lead in the third inning pushing seven runs across. Pane and Adam Lightkep knock in runs on RBI doubles, while Freeman has a big RBI triple. Kerns has the biggest shot of the whole inning with a two run bomb. Both teams go a couple innings before they get back on the scoring train. Knuckleheads grab a couple runs across the fifth and sixth innings, but that’s it. Wackers keep up the pressure with a two run Brancato single and RBI singles from Lightkep and Shallcross and will take the crown in this one.

Down at Hatfield

Down in the cold at Hatfield, the championship between Altek and Wehrung’s went an exciting three games. Game one went in the way of Altek as they take it with a win at 8-7. Coming back for game 2 and looking to end this night early, we had another thriller. Again, a one run game, but this time this goes in the favor of Wehrungs as they will win 15-14. The B Championship comes down to one game, a winner take all situation. Altek will clutch up and explode for an 18-2 win as they take the B title.
