Game #1 – Knuckleheads vs. Mott-Ley Crew

Knuckleheads get started with two runs off RBI singles from Jon Poore and Rich Zupkusky. Crew will answer back with four runs of their own, off an RBI double from Jon Motts, two run triple from Carl Motts and RBI single from Jonathan Duchette. Knuckleheads will fight back and get six runs in the second to take the lead again, with a Brittany Ullman RBI walk and a three-run bomb from Jose Rodriguez. They will add three more runs in the third with a Colin Anderson RBI single and Mike Cebzanove two run triple. Crew will grab four more runs to bring this game to within three. Carl Motts had an RBI triple, while Marcus Gibson smashed an RBI double. Knuckleheads will add five more runs across the third and fourth inning. Jon Poore delivered the big shot with a two run bomb. He would also add a two run bomb in the sixth as well. Crew have a huge seventh inning getting seven runs in total. Gibson will add two runs on a single while Jonathan Duchette and Justin Ruth have RBI singles. In the end, they would fall just short. Knuckleheads win 20-16.

Game #2 – Altek vs. Poco’s

Altek get rolling with three runs out the gate. Bob Wenner, Casery and Scott Flaherty do the damage for Altek. Poco’s get one back on an Eric Schade RBI single. Altek would add two more runs in the second on an RBI single from Nick Cataldi and Mike before Poco’s come back for two runs. Brelle Eve and Bill Hamill have RBI singles for Poco’s. Altek come up big for six more runs in the third, getting RBI’s from Flaherty, Chris and a bases clearing hit from Adam. Poco’s will continue to grind, this time grinding to three runs. Jess Hess and Schade both had RBI’s in the inning. Poco’s will really come on late grabbing nine runs in the fourth inning. Brenda Burns started the scoring with a two run single and a couple batters later Brett Anker matched that with a two run single of his own. Schade and Ryan Hamilton added RBI’s in the inning as they will take a one run lead. Poco’s will grab five more runs in the fifth as they look to take away late. Schade adds two more RBI’s and Bill Stone crushes a three run bomb. Poco’s will be too much late and win this one. Poco’s win 20-14.

Game #3 – Sultans of Swing vs. The Maize

Our third game gets started with Maize putting up a big six run first inning in what we have seen as a high scoring night. Matt Bagenhaugen starts the scoring with an RBI double, while Wil Das and Gary Kleinschmidt have RBI singles. Austin Grasso will end the scoring in the inning with a two-run bomb. Maize will get right back to it in the second with seven more runs. Aaron and Christian Haslett have RBI single, Das will smash a two run triple and Kleinschmidt will add another RBI on a single. Maize trying to outdo themselves again put up ten runs in the third. The inning was highlighted by RBI doubles from Tom Egitto and Bagenhaugen as well as a Aaron three run bomb. Sultans will struggle in this game and can only manage four runs. Lauren Albertson has an RBI single, while Josh Owens nets two runs on a single and double. In the end, it was too much Maize. Maize wins 24-4.

Game #4 – Wehrung’s vs. Wackers

We get rolling in the final game of the night with two runs on a Bill Brancato RBI single and Lissa Tercha sac fly. Wehrung’s will respond in the second inning with a Paul Muth two run single and sac fly from Wyatt Schilling. Alex Freeman then responds for Wackers with a double followed by a Ricky Kelly sac fly. Wackers will then drink the juice of the other hot hitting teams from tonight and score an insane eleven runs. Bill Shallcross and Bill Brancato, codename the Bill’s, both smash two run singles. Jenn Sevitski and Molly Rice both have RBI singles. Wackers will add to their lead in the fifth with four more runs. Nonnnnnenennemacher has an RBI double, Brancato (1/2 of the Bill’s) has an RBI triple and Freeman adds another RBI. In the end, it was too much wacking by the Wackers. Wackers win 19-4.
