Game 1
Final Score: The Rolling Rocks 18 vs. Candlewyck Bar & Grill 2


In a 15 run rout that only lasted 5 innings, The Rolling Rock steamrolled their way to victory. The Rocks singled Candlewyck to death, scoring 18 runs with only 2 XBH. Their consistent hitting led to multiple runs in all 5 frames. Candlewyck wasn’t completely silent with the bats, mustering up 11 hits, but not able to capitalize on the baserunners.

Final Score: Bogey Boys 15 vs. Do Work 8


2 crooked numbers early on from the Bogey Boys put them over the top in this one. 5 in the 1st and 7 in the 2nd, with them batting around in each frame. Do Work only was able to plate 4 runs through the first 6 innings, but were able to match that output in the 7th alone with 4 in a last ditch effort. This was simply too little too late.

Game 3
Final Score: Hitmen 16 vs. Do Work 13


Hitmen are able to hand Do Work their 2nd loss on the day. A high scoring 1st inning saw the Hitmen score 8 and Do Work 5. With Do Work holding the Hitmen to only 1 run total in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th, they were able to claim a lead of 12-9 after 4. Hitmen’s bats came back to life in the 5th with 6 runs and Do Work was never able to mount a comeback, only scoring 1 run total in the 6th and 7th. Side Note… Derek Strow was able to hit for the cycle in this game!

Final Score: The Naturals 14 vs. SCLSU Muddogs 13


A tight affair throughout saw the Muddogs with a 12-7 lead after 5. With the Muddogs bats going silent in the final 2 frames and only putting up 1 run, The Naturals took advantage and plated 7 runs in the 6th and 7th to put them ahead 14-13. A clutch, walkoff single in the top of the 7th, with 2 men down from Mark Danouski gave The Naturals the win.

Final Score: Hattrick’s Sports Bar 16 vs. Sprouse Electric 1


A blowout here in the last game of the day. Hattick’s was able to put together 18 hits in only 4 innings at the plate and were also able to take full advantage of those base runners. You wouldn’t guess it by looking at the score, but Sprouse was indeed able to get 9 baserunners with hits and walks, but just didn’t come through when the runners were on. They will look to bounce back next week.
