Game 1: Vertex vs. Philly Junk

PK and Shane Hana smashe back to back homers to lead off the bottom of the first for PJ. A leadoff double by Mike C gets Vertex a run in the top of the second. Singles give Vertex three runs in the top of the third. Four runs cross the plate for Vertex in the top of the fifth on singles. Jason Ashworth smashes a two run homer for PJ in the bottom of the fifth. PJ ties the game with a run in the bottom of the seventh. We head to extra innings. In the top of the eighth doubles by MIke C and Ryan S helps Vertex pick up two runs. PK blasts a walk off three run homer fro PJ in the bottom of the eighth. Philly Junk wins the first game in dramatic fashion, 11-10.

Game 2: Philly Junk vs. Vertex

PK and Evan Porter smash homers for PJ in the top of the first. Matt rips a three run double for Vertex in the bottom of the first. PK and Shane Hanna launch back to back homers for PJ in the top of the second. Three runs come in for Vertex in the bottom of the third thanks to doubles by Matt and Mike, and an Anthony solo homer. Anthony jacks three run homer for Vertex in the bottom of the fourth. PK and Shane Hanna jack back to back homers again for PJ in the top of the fifth. PJ bats around in the top of the sixth to score seven runs on a two run triple by PK, and back to back to back homers by Shane Hanna, Jason Ashworth, and Brandon Birkhead. PJ puts up another seven runs in the top of the seventh with homers by Brando Birkhead and Evan Porter. Vertex rallies for six runs in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a Ryan triple, and homers by Mike and Luke. Philly Junk takes the second game, 23-18, and the summer A title.

B South

Game 1: Crum Bums vs. Christian Clout Chasers

CCC takes the early lead with three runs in the bottom of the first on Ken Brough RBI triple. CB bats around in the top of the second to plate eight runs on walks and singles. Anthony Rivera blasts a solo homer for CCC in the bottom of the third. Doubles by Christian Milburn and Sonny Rennard net CB two runs in the top of the fourth. CB adds two runs in the top of the fifth thanks to back to back doubles by Christian Milburn and Joey Sullivan. Two runs come in for CCC in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a a Rahmire Jackson double, and an RBI triple by Anthony Rivera. CCC rallies for five runs in the bottom of the seventh on doubles by Rahimre Jackson, Anthony Rivera, Nick Kulik, and Sean Thomas. Joe Coffin is responsible for the game winning hit. CCC walks it off to win game 1, 13-12.

Game 2: Christian Clout Chasers vs. Crum Bums

A triple by Chris Bean leads to a run for CB in the bottom of the first. Ken Brough and Joe Coffin jack homers for CCC in the top of the second. CCC manages to get three runs in the top of the third. A leadoff triple by Colin Quinn helps CB plate a run in the bottom of the fourth. CCC puts up four runs in the top of the fifth on singles. CB scores three runs in the bottom of the fifth on walks and singles. CCC takes the second game, 12-6, and the B South title.
