Game #1 – Carrolls Jewelers vs. Quality Landscape

Kyle Gallagher gets us started on this great night with an RBI single to give Carrolls the lead right out of the gate. Quality will quickly answer back with a two run bomb from Mark K as they take the lead. Neither team will score in the second as we head to the third where Carrolls come out rolling big time with ten total runs. Mike Stacey starts the scoring with a two run single followed by RBI singles from Kevin Shinkunas and Bob McClintock. Halle Bilker will knock in two runs on a double, Sarah Yoos with an RBI single and then Gallagher to round out the inning with a two run triple. Quality will struggle to put up runs in this one only grabbing three more for the rest of the game. Carrolls will continue on with their pressure at the plate grabbing eight more and walking away from this game. Gallagher will add two more RBI’s late to seal it. Carrolls win 19-5.

Player of the Game:
Kyle Gallagher (Carrolls) – 4/4, 3B, 6 RBI’s

Game #2 – Bat Intentions vs. GFP

Bat Intentions will grab an early 1-0 lead on a Justin Ruth RBI single, but GFP will tie it up quickly on a Bill Brancato RBI single. Can’t say the same about GFP in the second inning as they explode. Adam Lightkep will knock in a run on a single followed by an Eric Shade two run single. Sean Nonenennneacher will then knock in two on a triple before Brancato brings him in on a sac fly as they take an 8-1 lead. Intentions get mad and bring in two runs, but GFP will come right back with three of their own, two coming on a Mark Cooper sac fly. The game continues to be all GFP as they bring there lead up to 14-3 heading to the sixth inning. Intentions will show some life with two runs on a Tom Finn sac fly and Selina Alicea RBI single, but again, GFP will respond, this time with four more runs. Brancato knocks in two more runs on a double and Phil Lipton comes to the party with an RBI single. In the end, this game is all GFP as you can hear them from the parking lot. GFP wins 18-9.

Player of the Game:
Sean Nonnnnenmachhher (GFP) – 3/4, 3B, 3 RBI’s

Game #3 – The Maize vs. Muckdogs

Brett Anker will get the scoring started in this one with an RBI double, followed by a Ryan Hamilton two run single. Doug Peiken will add one more run on an RBI single as Muckdogs lead 5-0. Evan Grymkowski will add another run in the second on a homer and Bill Hamill brings in one more run in the third on a single as Muckdogs will lead 7-0 after three innings. Maize will not score a run until the fourth when they get one on an Aaron Worthington homer. Maize would have their best inning of the night in the sixth with four more runs, three of which are coming on a Matt Bugenhagen three run bomb. Muckdogs get a later insurance run on a Brett Anker RBI triple and then lock it down defensively to take this one.

Player of the Game:
Brett Anker (Muckdogs) – 3/4, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI’s

Game #4 – Phantics vs. Dominicks

Dominicks will only get two runs across the two innings coming on an Owen Collins RBI single and Paul Hensler RBI double. Phantics scored ten runs in the third inning. Karen Kalinowsky, Tori Williams and Rubas all bring in runs with RBI singles, Dave Porco brings in two runs on a single and Mike Ercolino brings in two runs on a homer as they lead 18-6. Dominicks will try and stay in this game getting RBI’s from Taldmadge, Reynolds and Eric Rosenblum in the third, but Phantics will keep going. Phantics get four runs in the fifth and seven runs in the sixth as they will absolutely run away with this game.
