Game #1 – The Runs vs. Carroll’s

Carroll’s will deliver the first big blow in this game as they will bat around in the first inning and put up a total of 10 runs. Kyle Gallagher smashes a grand slam to strike first, but then a few batters later Brian Sauers hits a solo shot to make it a 6-0 game. Kevin Shinkunas and John Zeits add runs on singles to round out the inning. Runs will have the first big inning in the second, but can only manage three runs. Nick Perricone scores a run on a double, while Amy Balash adds a run on a single. Carroll’s would hit two more homers in the second inning, a solo shot from Gallagher and two run shot from Brian Sauers. Homers will continue to rely on the long ball as Greg Lesher gets into the party and smashes a three run bomb as they really look to blow this game open. Carroll’s will round out and finish this game up in the fifth inning, getting four more runs and win this due to mercy. Gallagher adds two more runs on a single while Lesher and Bryan Bart add runs an RBI on singles. Carroll’s win 22-7.

Player of the Game:
Kyle Gallagher (Carroll’s) – 4/4, 2 HR’s, 7 RBI’s

Game #2 – Carroll’s vs. The Runs

We flip the home and away sides and Carroll’s will get this started first in this game. Runs grab a run on an Erik Cusano RBI single to give them their first lead on the night. That is short lived as Carroll’s come right back in the second inning with nine runs. Lesher smashes a three run bomb, Steve DiGiovanni adds two runs on a double and Bryan Bart, Sarah Yoos and Mike S all knock in runs on singles. Runs will show some fight and get four runs back across the second and third innings. Nick P had an RBI single, while Cusano knocks in two runs on a homer. Both teams quiet down for a couple of innings before Carroll’s get rolling again in the fifth. Lesher hits another homer, his second one of the game, while Mike S, Hallie Bilker added runs on singles. Steve DiGiovanni also adds a run on a sac fly. Carroll’s will put this game away and win this one getting another homer, this time from Brian Sauers. Carroll’s win 18-7.

Player of the Game:
Brian Sauers (Carroll’s) – 2/2, 2 BB’s, 2 HR’s, 3 RBI’s

Player of the Week:
Kyle Gallagher (Carroll’s) – 6/7, BB, 2 HR’s, 8 RBI’s
