Game 1: Vertex vs. Silverbacks

Alex Freeman rips an RBI triple for Vertex in the top of the first. The Silverbacks answer with two runs in the bottom of the first. Two runs cross the plate for Vertex in the top of the second. Vertex scores five runs in the top of the fourth with RBI doubles by Sean Nonemacher, Mike C, and Jim L, and an Alex Freeman RBI triple. Singles lead to four runs for the Silverbacks in the bottom of the fourth. A leadoff triple by Mike C nets Vertex a run in the top of the sixth. A double by Ian Cuozzo helps the Silverbacks put up three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Vertex tops the Silverbacks, 13-9.

Game 2: Wire 2 Wire vs. Bird Gang

BG bats around in the bottom of the first to get eight runs on walks, singles, and a three run homer by Jon Poore. W2W gets on the board with a run in the top of the third. James McLaughlin smokes an RBI double for BG in the bottom of the third. BG bats around in the bottom of the fourth to score eight more runs with singles, a Pat M RBI double, and a two run triple by Chase L. Bird Gang makes quick work of Wire 2 Wire, 19-1.

Game 3: Vertex vs. Philly Junk

Vertex puts up two runs in the top of the first with an RBI double by Alex Freeman. PJ answers with three runs in the bottom of the first on singles. Back to back doubles by Mike C and Bill B net Vertex two runs in the top of the third. Jason Ashworth smashes a two run homer for PJ in the bottom of the third. Alex Freeman jacks a grand slam for Vertex in the top of the fifth. PJ adds a run in the bottom of the fifth. Vertex adds two insurance runs in the top of the seventh thanks to doubles by Sean Nonemacher and Mike C. Vertex downs Philly Junk, 11-6.

B South

Lukens III

Game 1: Plumstead Swingers vs. Crum Bums

PS bats around in the top of the first to get seven runs on singles, and back to back doubles by Chad Rousseau and Tom Spratt. CB answers with two runs in the bottom of the first. CB bats around in the bottom of the second to pick up five runs on walks and singles. PS puts up four runs in the top of the third on singles, and a Conner Krzackzyk RBI double. Tom Spratt blasts a leadoff homer for PS in the top of the fourth. Walks and singles lead to three runs for CB in the bottom of the fourth. Back to back RBI triples by Conner Krzackzyk and Gabe McCaughan lead to four runs for PS in the top of the fifth. Sonny Rennard jacks a three run homer for CB in the bottom of the fifth. PS adds three runs in the top of the seventh. The Plumstead Swingers take care of the Crum Bums, 23-13.

Game 2: Balls of Fury vs. Chroma Crushers

BOF takes the lead in the top of the first with three runs on singles. Matt Poust smashes a two run homer for CC in the bottom of the first. Keenan Ferst rips an RBI triple for BOF in the top of the second. CC bats around in the bottom of the third to plate ELEVEN runs on walks, singles, and doubles by Patrick Downey and Jared Hess. CC bats around again in the bottom of the fourth to score eight runs on a lot of singles. The Chroma Crushers make quick work of Balls of Fury, 26-6.

Game 3: Plumstead vs. Pigeon Boyz

Vinnie Vescio blasts a three run homer for PB in the bottom of the first. Plumstead gets on the board with four runs in the top of the second. PB adds four runs on singles in the bottom of the second. Ben Markowitz rips a two run double for Plumstead in the top of the third. Plumstead adds seven runs in the top of the fourth with singles, and a two run homer by Chad Rousseau. Three runs cross the plate for PB in the bottom of the fifth. PB rallies for five runs in the bottom of the seventh with Mike Gilbert getting the game winning hit. The Pigeon Boyz walk it off over Plumstead, 17-16.

Game 4: Chroma Crushers vs. Bats All Folks

Singles and a leadoff double by Patrick Downey get CC three runs in the top of the first. BAF picks up five runs in the bottom of the second thanks to singles. CC bats around in the top of the third to plate ELEVEN runs with homers by Matt Poust and David Putman. Matt Poust smokes a bases loaded triple for CC in the top of the fourth. Kevin Tomlinson rips an RBI triple for BAF in the bottom of the fourth. The Chroma Crushers beat up on Bats All Folks, 21-6.
