Game 1: Ball Busters vs. Philly Junk
BB takes the early lead in the top of the first with a run. PJ answers with a run in the bottom of the first. PJ plates three runs in the bottom of the third with a KC RBI double. Evan rips an RBI double for PJ in the bottom of the fourth. A triple by Pudge leads BB to a run in the top of the fifth. Four runs cross the plate for PJ in the bottom of the sixth with singles, and a KC double. BB rallies for a run in the top of the seventh. Philly Junk tops the Ball Busters, 10-3.
Game 2: Ball Busters vs. Wire 2 Wire
BB plates three runs in the top of the first on singles. W2W bats around in the bottom of the first to plate six runs thanks to singles, and a two run triple by Sean B. Jacob M jacks a three run homer for W2W in the bottom of the fourth. W2W gets five runs in the bottom of the fifth with walks and singles. BB adds a run in the top of the sixth. A double by Gene Walczak and singles lead to four runs for W2W in the bottom of the sixth. Wire 2 Wire beats up on the Ball Busters, 20-5.
Game 3: The Ones vs. Silverbacks
Walks get TO a run in the top of the first. The Silverbacks answer with two runs in the bottom of the first thanks to an RBI double by Ben H. TO adds a run in the top of the sixth. The Silverbacks score another run in the bottom of the sixth. Ryan rips an RBI double for TO in the top of the seventh. The Silverbacks squeak by The Ones, 4-3.
Game 4: Vertex vs. Bird Gang
Billy smokes a two run triple for Vertex in the top of the first. BG answers with three runs on a Pat RBI double in the bottom of the first. BG plates four runs in the bottom of the second with RBI doubles by Pat and Joey, and RBI triples by Jason and Anthony. Vertex puts up two runs in the top of the third. BG bats around in the bottom of the fifth to push five runs across thanks to errors, singles, and a double by Anthony. Singles lead to three runs for Vertex in the top of the sixth. Bird Gang tops Vertex, 13-10.
B South
Cedar Hill
Game 1: Chroma Crushers vs. Crum Bums
CC takes an early lead with two runs in the top of the first. CB answers with three runs in the bottom of the first thanks to doubles by Brandon Ford and Pat McGinley, and a Chris Bean solo homer. Matt Poust rips an RBI triple for C in the top of the second. CB bats around in the bottom of the fourth to pick up six runs on singles. CC gets three runs in the top of the fifth on singles, and a Bryce Hoagey RBI double. The Crum Bums get by the Chroma Crushers, 10-8.
Game 2: Balls of Fury vs. Chroma Crushers
BOF takes an early lead with a run in the top of the first. CC bats around in the bottom of the first to get six runs on singles, and an RBI double by Dave Putman. Dave Putman blasts a solo homer for CC in the bottom of the second. Marlo Maldenado smokes an RBI triple for BOF in the top of the third. BOF bats around in the top of the fourth to plate seven runs thank to singles, a triple by Marlo Maldenado, and homer by Javier Torres and Enco Polanco. Walks net CC three runs in the bottom of the fifth. BOF adds three runs in the top of the seventh with a double by Alberto Riveria and a Justin Allen triple. Balls of Fury gets by the Chroma Crushers, 15-12.
Game 3: Balls of Fury vs. Isotopes
BOF bats around in the top of the second to plate nine runs than to singles, a two run triple by Justin Allen, and a Javier Torres grand slam. Marlo Moaldonado blats a solo homer for BOF in the top of the third. The Isotopes get on the board with two runs in the bottom of the third. BOF bats around again in the top of the fourth with singles, and a two run homer by Javier Torres. Victor Pagan smashes a solo homer for the Isotopes in the bottom of the fifth. The Isotopes rally for five runs in the bottom of the sixth with a double by Victor Pagan, and a Dave White two run triple. Balls of Fury out slug the Isotopes, 17-10.
Lukens III
Game 1: Sons of Pitches vs. Candlewyck
Candlewyck takes an early lead with two runs in the bottom of the first. Candlewyck bats around in the bottom of the second to score SEVENTEEN runs on walks, singles, doubles by Jon Hickman, Cory Carlen, and John Graves, and two homers by Sean Carlen. Jon Hickman rips a two run double for Candlewyck in the bottom of the third. Not even sure SOP shows up for this game. Candlewyck shuts out Sons of Pitches, 21-0.
Game 2: Plumstead Swingers vs. Bats All Folks
PS bats around in the top of the first to plate seven runs on singles, an RBI double by Matt Mannino, and a Ben Markowitz two run triple. PS scores six runs in the top of the second with a two run homer by Gabe McCaughan. BAF gets on the board in the bottom of the second with five runs on singles. Gabe McCaughan launches a solo homer for PS in the top of the third. PS adds six runs in the top of the fourth on singles. BAF bats around in the bottom of the fourth to push seven runs across with singles, and a Kevin Tomlinson three run homer. Ian Nolan smokes a two run triple for PS in the top of the sixth. The Plumstead Swingers beat up on Bats All Folks, 28-12.
