Mike Cascioli (Granite Galleria, Sunday Men's) has been issued a mandatory 1 game suspension as a result of a game ejection on 09/09/12 for using a restricted 'hot' bat. Hot bats can only be used in Softball America by females and coed league male eddies over 64 years of age. This suspension is effective immediately. Suspended players are prohibited from attending the game or being on the ball field grounds.

No fingers will be pointed, but a team playing Sunday mornings at Hatfield left behind a pile of cans and bottles in the parking lot yesterday. Disgusting if you ask me. Any team discovered to be guilty of such unforgivable acts of disrespect will be asked to leave the league and play their softball elsewhere. Hatfield police will be on the lookout – issuing costly littering summonses to offenders.

Mario Ciocca (Ballz Deep, Sunday Men's) has been issued a mandatory 2-game* suspension as a result of a game ejection on 10/07/12 for unsportsmanlike conduct (physical altercation). Suspended players are prohibited from attending the game or being on the ball field grounds.
*In accordance with league rules, if an ejection is the result of a physical altercation, not less than a 2-game suspension shall be served.

The display of unsportsmanlike conduct between Bomb Squad and Tom's Tackle on Monday, October 22nd is unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstance. There are leagues in the area that put up with that garbage. Softball America is not one of them.
Per league rules…
BRAWLS: Any individual, be it a team member or fan of the team, who joins in any physical altercation shall be ejected from the grounds and banned from said grounds for a period of time to be determined by the league. Additionally, the game shall terminate as a single or double forfeit as determined by the umpire in charge.
As much as I feel league suspensions are warranted in this case, my investigation turned up inconclusive. Be that as it may, Bomb Squad and Tom’s Tackle have been placed on league probation for the remainder of the fall season. Umpires are being instructed to keep all players from each team on a very short behavioral leash. Game ejections and/or additional suspensions will be issued WITHOUT WARNING for ANY behavioral infraction from simple profanity to arguing balls and strikes.
